Tonight’s show begins on a somber note. Tom (who is from Boston) and Brooke extend the thoughts and prayers of all those at Dancing With The Stars to those that are affected by today’s tragic bombings in Boston at the Boston Marathon.

But we go back to business now. The couple with the celebrity prepares to dance side by side with a returning professional couple. How does this work? The returning professional couple will start first, and the couple with the celebrity will join in, doing the same choreography at the same time. It will end with the couple with the celebrity. Tonight should be an interesting night. What do you think of this?

How I Met Your Mother
Romeward Bound

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the tragedy in Boston today. I was a bit surprised by CBS still airing its regular schedule, but after such terrible images on our screens all day, our favorite shows can provide a welcome respite.

Unfortunately, my broadcast muted the dialogue onscreen for the first third of the episode, so I’m offering the best summary I can from what I saw and read elsewhere, starting with The Captain making Lily a very significant proposition.

The Good Wife
Rape: A Modern Perspective

Somewhere toward the middle of this episode, a major bombshell is quietly dropped about a romantic pairing. And it isn’t Will and Alicia (although Alicia still has it bad and feels she’s losing control Will-wise). Diane is planning to walk down the aisle!

Last week she proposed to her Republican boy toy Kurt McVeigh, took it back and then said she did mean it. I guess he said yes. Wouldn’t it be nice to see Diane get all her dreams, like the state supreme court judgeship, and be happy at home as well? Not gonna happen — makes for boring TV.

AMC announced today that the network is adding a third night of original programming with the season three premiere of “Hell on Wheels” debuting Saturday, August 3 at 9pm ET/PT. Executive produced by showrunner John Wirth (“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” “Falling Skies,” “The Cape”), Mark Richard and Jeremy Gold, Head of Creative Affairs, Endemol Studios and, and starring Anson Mount, Colm Meaney, and Common, season 3 of “Hell on Wheels” lands in the year 1867, the third year of the building of the transcontinental railroad. Cullen Bohannon leaves his vengeance-seeking behind and invests in the new American landscape…the beginnings of big business, big religion, and the new role of Wall Street in the White House. Bohannon must contend with racism, greed and murder as he single-mindedly leads the Union Pacific in its race across the country against the Central Pacific Railroad. The high stakes corporate race, the environmental costs and degradation of the native peoples’ way of life are themes that resonate deeply in today’s America.

Getting along with your collaborators can be difficult at times. This is true both with professional partners and personal ones. How you deal with your collaborators will define how those people think of you.

Don has to deal with a plethora of collaborators: Megan, Sylvia, Pete, and Herb — the slimy creep from Jaguar who forced his way into sleeping with Joan. Pete and Peggy also have problems with collaborations.

Doctor Who
Cold War

A soviet submarine in the height of the Cold War. Mystery cargo which some fool decides to open before orders. David Warner playing the “Professor” onboard, who is far more into his music than he is into blowing up the Earth. What a shame it starts to sink.

Then, the TARDIS materializes on it, Clara and the Doctor tumble out, and sensing the threat the TARDIS pops off to somewhere a little safer, leaving our adventurers stranded. Just how are they going to get out of this one, eh?

Jonathan Winters, Comedian/Actor

Parks and Recreation – Recap & Review – Animal Control

Parks and Recreation
Animal Control

Original Air Date: Apr 11, 2013

Valentina D. – Senior Reviewer
valentina@thetwocentscorp.com

If your town’s animal control department was run by incapable stoners, what would you do? If you’re Leslie Knope, you spring into action and look for new employees, or have a bright idea and recommend the position to one of your own.

While Leslie saves the day, Ben’s focused on making a good impression on local scent mogul Dennis Feinstein with Andy and Tom’s help. That is, until Dennis turns out to be, well, “a dick,” as Andy so eloquently put it. In the middle of all this, the usually-invincible Ron is battling a bout of strep throat, so it’s Ann and her nursing skills to the rescue.

Sea Tunt Part 2

Elizabeth – TwoCents Reviewer
elizabeth@thetwocentscorp.com

This week’s episode picks up where we left off last week, with Captain Murphy reiterating his threats to blow up the world because he’s mad about ocean pollution. What’s new is that Cecil has promised Murphy that he will send a camera crew down to his under-water research facility to broadcast his demands. And he has volunteered the ISIS gang to pose as a camera crew. Archer, for some reason, is really excited about this and has already devised a plan that involves hiding guns in cameras and donning fake mustaches (or in Ray’s case, having his shaved off against his will.)

The Office – Recap & Review – Stairmageddon

The Office
Stairmageddon

Original Air Date: Apr 11, 2013

Shannon – Associate Editor
shannon@thetwocentscorp.com

Dwight is having the elevators repaired so today is Stairmaggedon. Stanley is not on board with this plan. Oscar explains that they have lots of fat people in their office and getting those big fat fatties to do anything besides sit around wallow in their fatness is comparable to the end of days. Last acceptable prejudice, y’all!

The office documentary has been reviewed by the local paper. Andy gets mixed reviews and they rub in the fact that Dwight will never be the manager. Andy decides that working for DM is not what he wanted for his life, so he’s going to get an agent and be famous.
