After my interview with Martha Plimpton and Greg Garcia earlier I am especially excited for this episode. As an extra special bonus, the legendary Jerry Van Dyke is guest starring as Maw Maw’s love interest! How can you beat that?

Well you can start the episode at Shelley’s daycare, who challenges Burt to a karate match. Burt is trying to hook Jimmy up with a hot mom (or granddaughter), Zoe who also has a ward at Shelleys. At home, Burt tells Virginia about how lame Jimmy is about Sabrina.

Glee – Recap & Review – A Night Of Neglect

There’s no rest for the wicked… or the Glee club. Now that they’ve won regionals, they’ve got to start thinking about funding for nationals. Will’s big idea is to sell 20,000 pieces of salt water taffy, but Santana and Quinn poo-poo his idea, saying no one’s going to buy taffy from a bunch of losers like the Glee club.

My thought is hello, it’s taffy! Who cares who you buy it from? It’s DELICIOUS.

Did everyone have their Kleenex handy for tonight’s season two finale? It was certainly a five-hankie affair tonight as near everyone cried or was near tears tonight.

As we say goodbye to this season of television’s best family drama, we’re still left wondering if there will be a season three. All I can say, is there better be! There are still many stories to be told, many tears to be shed, and many happy occasions to be had.

Last night’s Americana theme made for an interesting night of dancing.  Everyone did the best they could, and there’s still no clear front runner in this competition.

Going into elimination tonight, Hines Ward was at the top of the leader board, while Ralph, Petra, and Kendra were in a three way tie for the bottom.

House – Recap & Review – Last Temptation

House
Last Temptation

Original Air Date: Apr 19, 2011

Until the last 10 minutes of this week’s House episode, I thought it could be one of the best episodes ever. Then I crashed back down to reality with the realization that this may be one of the most sexist shows ever.

But let’s start at the beginning when things were awesome. “Last Temptation” follows Masters’ last day as a medical student. She has to do one more procedure and she’s done. House has posted an intern position for his department and it’s obvious to everyone that he wants her to stay on — but there’s a price tag. She has to turn in her procedure book with his signature saying she did the last test, but she didn’t.

I’m going to try to keep it short and sweet this week, since the episode was kind of a one-off and didn’t really move the whole Chuck mythology forward at all. Lost-style flashbacks aside the episode was enjoyable, but unsatisfying.

We open in 1988 back when Sarah and her old man were Paper Mooning around Ohio. Many of you (if there are actually ANY of you) may remember from Chuck Versus the DeLorean that Sarah and her dad (Gary Cole) were Grifters back in the day.

Tonight we are blessed with the guest presence of Sean “Puffy” Combs as an undercover NYPD cop who finally returns to his family, his son doesn’t even recognize him. He’s been gone for 2 years. He’s got protection with him, so clearly whatever he’s doing is a big deal. He’s close to closing in on the big bad, and needs a little bit more time away to finish the job.

In the middle of the night, he’s out on the beach when something catches his attention. His guards are down and his wife is dead. The mob that he’s been after has attacked him, a fire fight happens and Reggie (Combs) nails a couple of them, but they also shoot him in the gut.

Goodie, another show about one of our supporting characters! It’s great to see the hilarious sidekicks get a little TLC isn’t it? Mike and Carl are at the diner reminiscing when Samuel emerges from the kitchen in a rage. Apparently his rent is going up and the diner owner won’t give Sam the raise he has been promising for two years. Poor Samuel, Mike is oblivious and Carl wants to help. Why do I get the feeling that Carl’s “help” leads to disastrous results?

The diner owner is upset by Carl’s interference, which leads to Samuel getting fired and the boys not getting free food anymore. Which means Sam’s gonna lose his apartment…sidelong glance at Mike to save the day!
