TwoCents & Five Questions with Adam Ferrera

ferrara gears up for the final series of rescue me

…Adam Ferrara, Actor, TV Host

Whether you know him from Rescue Me where he portrays Chief Needles, watched him do crazy stunts in the new History Channel show Top Gear USA or have followed his stand-up comedy for years, it’s more thank likely you’ve seen Adam Ferrara somewhere over the years.

With Rescue Me coming to an end and Top Gear USA picked up for a second season, Ferrara is a busy guy. But he was kind of enough to take a few minutes to talk exclusively with TheTwoCents about his craziest Top Gear moment and what’s to come on Rescue Me.

TheTwoCents: On Top Gear USA, you get to do some crazy things with the cars. What was the most enjoyable task?

American Idol — Recap & Review — Top 7 Perform

It’s going to be a tough night for voting. While no one hit it out of the ballpark, the contestants who seemed to be at the bottom stepped up their game enough for me to reconsider them. As a result, they all seemed to be at pretty much the same level.

One thing we had more of than usual: Moments bleeped out. Seriously, the audio sounded like Swiss cheese. It began with Steven (obviously) but then spread to quite a few others (I’m pointing the finger at you, Randy).

With only two weeks left to go after this week, there are still a lot of loose ends to tie up. What is going to happen to Raylan after getting shot at last week? What will happen to his relationship with Winona? Is Art going to continue dealing with Raylan’s cowboy, US Marshal style? And of course, what is going to happen with the Bennett family?

Only time will tell…

Someone To Watch Over Lily

Tonight’s Modern Family took a possibly macabre subject and brought it to a humorous and sentimental place. The big question at hand is who would be Lily’s guardian if (god forbid) something happened to Cam and Mitchell.

In order to make this important life decision, Cam and Mitchell decide to drop in unannounced on the Dunphy and Pritchett households and observe them in their natural habitats. What could possibly go wrong?

Survivor – Recap & Review – Rice Wars

The low down
If it weren’t for Phillip, this would be just another episode where the former Zapatera gets Pagonged. Instead, a perceived racial taunt turns it into a rather uncomfortable and, frankly, unfun episode. To me, it seems like much to do about nothing but I’d be really interested to hear from others on it. Was Phillip right? Or was Steve calling Phillip “crazy” an okay thing? Oh, we’re back to Redemption Island duels and one of my least favorite players of the season goes home.

Hellcats was all about fear this week, but the return of the show quelled my own fear of post-hiatus Hellcat blues (and yellows).

Marti and Wanda confronted memories of Rex, Alice and Lewis got involved in a cheating scandal, and Our Man Dan submitted his zombie short for Lancer’s film program.

TwoCents & Five Questions with Paul McDonald (American Idol)

photo: fox

Paul McDonald, Reality Contestant

With his Rod Stewart-like voice, gleaming white smile and crazy flower-filled jackets, McDonald proved to be a fan favorite until he finished in eighth place. Ever the gentleman, he told the audience not to be sad after his elimination and shared with us how the Idol experience gave his band (The Grand Magnolias) more exposure, got him a movie star girlfriend (Nikki Reed from “Red Riding Hood,” which the contestants saw a preview of) as well as opportunities he never imagined after auditioning on a whim (he barely even watched the show!).

TheTwoCents: Did you have any regrets about your Idol experience?
