This week the chetestant-masters have to take a bunch of really high-calorie dishes and come up with masterful, low-calorie alternatives for contestants from The Biggest Loser.
One chef sermonizes a bit too much through his food and makes it worse when the dish isn’t very good. Hugh continues to be a total dipwad.

I cannot believe that the season is almost over already. Only one week to go after this and while there are still a few unanswered questions, there is going to be a big change this week, I can just feel it…
We start out this week with Raylan coming up to the house. There are cops all over the place, blood stains on the floor and Raylan is in his own world thinking about the fact that she is gone. Arlo comes out of the house completely silent as they bring out Helen’s body. Raylan just staring at her…

There really wasn’t a clunker in tonight’s performances of Carole King’s tapestry of songs. Some contestants sang better, but no one bombed.
Plus, we had two treats. For the first time on a performance show, the contestants sang duets. (Yes, they’ve been doing them on the results show, but this is “different.”) Also, Jimmy Iovine was joined by Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, who has worked with King. He really pushed the contestants, which they needed.

The low down
The real lowdown is that this is a boring season and it’s the producers’ fault. Along with the usual rookies, they put in a guy who was likely to be voted out immediately and a guy who was not because he’s more charismatic and has played the game three times already. So, yay, Pagonging! And Phillip! Phillip does not fascinate me. He does not interest me. I only talk about him here because I have to.
Anyway, there’s a twist tonight because otherwise, it would be another boring episode. Oh and I make a literary reference in the recap.

This is the slowest grocery store on the planet since none of them ever seem to be working. I suppose Sabrina occasionally does check out, but other than that? I’m getting off topic though. The gang is filling time when Zoe shows up and plants one on Jimmy right in front of Sabrina. She is supportive of his fledgling relationship, why isn’t he more excited about it? Zoe is hot!
Poor Jimmy. He’s just so naive sometimes!
