The Top 5 Things I Learned From The Amazing Race
1. Flight Time and Big Easy: Don’t cross a huge black man, even if he made it up. The Road Block had the teams dealing with one of my favorite Swiss things: Chocolate. At a culinary institute in Zermatt, one team member had to create a painted chocolate mold of the Travelocity Roaming Gnome (who sponsors this show?). Two halves had to be painted and alternately put in the fridge to harden. At one point, FT’s ‘bottom’ went missing so he picked up Vixsyn’s. A rousing chorus on ‘Who’s on First’ ensued and BE took it upon himself to blame Vixsyn for playing dirty and stealing FT’s mold. Now, from what I saw, Vixsyn was in the right here. You, gentle reader, will have to tell me otherwise if I missed something. But the main thing here is that BE came completely unglued. Truth be told, he got a little scary. FT got over it quick, but BE… he even made Vixsyn cry. I have never been a big supporter of Team Goth, but that was crossing a line. Even if Vixsyn did take the wrong mold, it was a complete mistake, not malicious. I lost a lot of respect for BE… but my respect means nothing in this game. FT&BE arrived at the Pit Stop (a 300 year-old Swiss cabin) in 1st, winning a trip to the Cook Islands. Jealous.
