The low down

Finally, for the first time in a LONG time, the outcome of Tribal Council is in doubt. Not a lot of doubt, but some. Plus, it’s family visit time and that’s always interesting. It also gives presents one player with a difficult choice. Most interesting is Phillip telling us in no uncertain terms that he’s being annoying and crazy on purpose as a strategy to get to the end. Well, he’s pulling it off so far. Instead of the “flying under the radar” strategy, you could call it, “sitting on the radar” strategy.

NCIS – Recap & Review – Baltimore

NCIS
Baltimore

Original Air Date: May 03, 2011

Maria – Sr. Reviewer

It starts with a man, (played by the wonderful Scott Grimes) being poisoned and murdered inside his own home. The NCIS agents are then alerted to a dead body, wrapped and tied up, just like the Port to Port serial killings. He was also dressed up far beyond his role and rank, with an obscure fortune cookie left as a clue. It looks like the P2P killer has struck again, but EJ and her team have left town to follow a lead so it’s up to our NCIS agents to solve the case. It’s a personal case for Tony DiNozzo because as soon as the victim’s face is revealed, Tony recognizes it as his old Baltimore PD partner: Danny Price!

The Good Wife – Recap & Review – In Sickness

The Good Wife
In Sickness

Julianna Margulies now has her Emmy entry ready after this week’s episode. This week Alicia had to deal with separating from her husband, the anger of her mother-in-law, the despair of her children, the betrayal by her best friend and accusations from her husband. And that’s just at home – at work it’s almost as bad.

The usually stone-faced Margulies breaks down several times during the episode as Alicia deals with another huge set back. It didn’t get to me until the scene where she told her kids that she and Peter were separating and Grace says, “You need to protect us better.” Then Alicia totally lost it and my eyes got quite unexpectantly teary. Is it a mother thing?

Raising Hope – Recap & Review – Everybody Flirts…Sometimes

Raising Hope
Everybody Flirts…Sometimes

Original Air Date: May 3, 2011

Rachel M – Staff Writer

Just the one-line description of this episode has me laughing (from Hulu) “The Chances try to use flirting to their benefit.” It can’t be just me that think this is a hilarious disaster in the making. In fact, I’m pretty sure that’s what the writers had in mind too. How do they come up with this stuff?

So Jimmy and Burt are working their landscaping, and Jimmy runs to tell Burt about a praying mantis he found. Only to find Burt cleaning the pool without his shirt on. When the lady of the house comes out to chat Burt up, Jimmy witnesses some of the most awkward flirting ever.

Glee – Recap & Review – Rumours

Oh good! Just when you think that McKinley High bears no resemblance to a real high school, the rumors start flying and the truth comes out. Phew.

We get our first glimpse at Brittany’s online talk show, Fondue for Two, which is a stroke of genius if I’ve ever seen one. Brittany is fast becoming my favorite character, between her idiotic oddities and her brief spurts of real thought and emotion. Between her and her cohost, Lord Tubbington, she manages to out Santana on YouTube instead of interviewing Tina and Mercedes.

Mad Love – Recap & Review – The Secret Life of Larry

The gang has lots to (almost) celebrate today! Ben is on track for his 30th consecutive win, and Connie is thisclose to selling her children’s book idea!

Connie seems to have dropped the Larry-villain from the last episode in favor of a fairy tale. It’s about a little girl who goes to Central Park every day to kiss frogs hoping she’ll find a prince. At the same time, a little boy is there every day planting “magic” beans. But one day, she passes him, and finds out that he was planting a garden for her, and they fall in love. Cutest story ever! To sell the book, she takes some pictures of Central Park, and Larry offers to print them off from his computer. Buuuut, he loses the camera instead.

Last night was Dancing Greats night, but it there wasn’t a lot of super great dancing. There were some good performances, and even some improvements, but overall, it was underwhelming.

There’s been no clear leader so far in this competition, and every week the leader board is drastically different, so it could be anyone who’s sent home this week. Read on to find out which star has danced for the last time.

In this week’s episode Castle and Beckett fly to the City of Angels, but it’s not for fun in the sun, room service, or movie magic. When Royce, Kate’s training officer and close friend gets shot in New York, Kate goes rogue and hops on a jet plane to Los Angeles to bring his killer to justice. Where Kate goes Castle is sure to follow and this time is no exception. He is overdue to visit the Heat Wave movie set where its stars provide some surprising aid to the case that Kate shouldn’t be working. Will Kate get sent packing before she can solve the case?
