Some people might have been impatiently awaiting ‘the Royal Wedding’ of the year, but I personally couldn’t wait for ‘the White Wedding’. Let’s be honest here: it wouldn’t be Grey’s Anatomy if it didn’t have a portion of drama in it as well. That is why we watch this show after all, because of all the torture Shonda and her team of writers send our way. If that wasn’t what we liked, we wouldn’t continue watching it for seven seasons and counting.

So I really expected that something would go wrong to complicate things… But we had all seen the wedding pictures before the episode aired, so there was no real reason to doubt the outcome of this wedding.

Spring is not only a time for showers and flowers; it also marks the end of the television season, namely 30 Rock’s fifth season. In the show’s season finale, it’s summer hiatus time for TGS and its eccentric staff, who all have their own plans for how they’ll spend the break.

Liz has had a bad couple of months, including her explosive breakup with Carol and her show teetering on the edge of cancellation, and decides she deserves a carefree hiatus. She’s ensured this by renting a house in the Hamptons for the summer. With Avery still being held captive in North Korea, Jack is lonely and has forced himself to take on a surrogate wife. It’s not what you think, although the stand-in is another loyal blond.

Holy crap! Holy crap! I’m… I.. Wow. Just, wow. This episode was so amazing that I am incapable of forming cogent thoughts. Sacrifices, deaths, betrayals, shocks, secrets – this episode had everything. This recap may run a smidge long because So. Much. Happened. I feel as though everything has changed. Well, not everything. In a somewhat familiar refrain, the brothers Salvatore are competing over who gets to die for Elena. Yawn. Call me when one of you actually wants to stay alive.

Who dies? Who else dies? Who dies after that? Read on for the full recap and review!

Jeff and Audrey panic when they hear they might be having twins…yes…twins! It is nice to see Sara Rue back and she is going to have her first ultrasound so they can see the baby. But the best part is listening to Jeff talk about what he thinks is going to happen and how he doesn’t want to see his softball partners “stuff”. But they explain he won’t be seeing any of that. But as the doctor looks at the screen he is thinking he sees something behind the baby and maybe it is another baby. Uh oh…twins? Not sure, she will have to come back to take another look.

A prison guard at Carson State Penitentiary has just been murdered… by a prison shank. Outside of prison. It’s mysterious circumstances indeed, but then, Walton Parcell was not just any prison guard. He had aspirations of being a detective and was going to community college for criminology. Though he is outside a jewelry store there was no robbery, although there was one earlier in the month. What can all this mean? Rest assured. Jane is going to find out in all of his nonchalant brilliance.

Though Grace is handing out wedding invitations (awkward), she’s also used Walton’s call history to track down a girlfriend, Shelly, and Rigsby has been given a list of former Carson inmates in the area to interview on their whereabouts last night — including his father (more awkward). Steve Rigsby is just as described in an earlier episode, and worse. He’s very abusive in his language towards our Rigsby, who cannot get out of there fast enough.

Well, I have to say that this was one of the best episodes I have seen in a long time. I was actually interested in the case at hand which is quite rare for me. Usually, all I want to know is what is going on with the characters, but this time it is the “suspect” that brings out the main characters story. We get to know Dr B even more and I really liked seeing her softer side come through.

Deangelo holds a meeting in the conference room. He throws out some great things like Ice Cream Thursdays, a new chair for Toby, and business classes at night for Darryl. Deangelo doesn’t want anyone to be able to figure him out so he makes all these things sound like punishments. Kevin has him pegged. Deangelo is kind of crazy.

Deangelo has an inner circle of Kevin, Gabe, Jim, and Darryl. He reaches out to Dwight only to get shut down repeatedly. Deangelo straight up asks him why Dwight doesn’t like him. Dwight says he’s not a suck up so Deangelo should leave him alone.

Penny, Bernadette, and Amy are out… you know what, I have to stop here a sec. WHERE are Penny’s other friends, for crying out loud? Seriously! *breathe* Alright, now that that’s out…

So the girls are out shopping when Bernadette mentions that Priya and Leonard invited her and Howard out for dinner. Penny says she’s not upset, though she’s still a little bitter about Priya. Because almost as believable as Penny ditching all her friends is her sitting home dateless for months pining over Leonard. But I digress. Amy reveals later that she and a reluctant Bernadette have initiated Operation Priya-Wouldn’tWannaBeYa. And then the fun starts.

Parks and Recreation – Recap & Review – Eagleton

Parks and Recreation
Eagleton

Original Air Date: May 5, 2011

Valentina D. – TwoCents Reviewer
valentina@thetwocentscorp.com

This week’s Parks and Recreation is an all-out battle of public servants, as Pawnee’s longstanding rivalry with a neighbouring town takes an ugly turn. Leslie is torn between planning the perfect birthday party for a certain mustachioed boss and brawling with a past connection that has moved onto greener pastures.

All I can say is, what a week it has been for city hall.
