A couple of guys stand outside some kind of concrete structure out in the middle of a field. One of the guys gives the other one a boost and he tapes a photo on top of the concrete doohickey. They drive off and the guy doing the taping radios in that the area is clear.

The girl in the photo is some kind of bomb simulation director. The concrete thing gets blown to smithereens. So I guess these guys don’t like their boss (Wendy, the girl in the photo) so they wanted to blow her up? After the guys sit back and feel better about themselves, their boss has a seizure.   That can’t be a coincidence, right?

Landmarks

After last week’s ending left Barney at ends with (and feeling betrayed by) both Ted and Marshall, we knew things couldn’t stay as they were for long. Indeed, tonight brings an end to their conflict- and other things as well.

Much of the episode takes place in flashback (well, double flashback, as the whole show’s a flashback) after Ted is asked at a convention whether he thinks the Arcadian should be a preserved landmark.

Last week we dove into the true corruption in the city of Chicago. The Alderman is behind tampering with a jury for someone high on the food chain. We see Hugh Killian who is one of the Irish mob and starting to make mistakes. Also we see them start a war against Alderman Gibbons.

We start out this week with the family aspect of this show. Jarek’s son JJ is up on stage performing. There is a lot of tension between his ex wife and his fiancée as they are at the bar. Jarek gets a call and has to leave to go investigate a homicide.

The gang is talking about Tiffany’s upcoming divorce, and how Larry is “jazzed” that he now has a chance with her. That is, until Tiffany comes by and announces she wants to move back home to Florida. This move means not only that Larry is losing his “dream girl”, but that Connie is losing her nanny job. Larry, of course, is still planning to try to get into Tiffany’s pants while she is at her most vulnerable, while Connie gets a lead on a new job as a celebrity chef’s personal assistant.

Desperate Housewives – Recap & Review – Then I Really Got Scared

Desperate Housewives
Then I Really Got Scared

Last week when we left off, Paul was dying, Gaby was being a lousy mother, Lynette was being a lousy wife and Bree met a man.  Surprise, surprise, not much has changed this week.

This is the last episode before the season finale, and I while had hoped there would be more drama to make the finale exciting, most of tonight’s episode fell kind of flat.

The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business – Recap & Review – This Is Where It Ends (Brazil and Florida)

The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business
This Is Where It Ends (Brazil & Florida)

It’s season finale time, kids! Who will take care of ALL their Unfinished Business? personally, I’m OK with any of these teams winning, although I do have my favorites. The finale was a two-parter, so you’ll get two lists this time around. The first list covers the penultimate leg which began in Switzerland (again) and ended on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro. With that, I give you…

The Top 4 Things I Learned From The Amazing Race

1. Gary and Mallory: Getting a body wax with your dad is weird. Let me back up. For the First Brazilian Road Block, teams had to learn the samba and lead a troupe of Carnivale dancers in a parade. Mallory (who “belongs on stage” apparently) looked SO happy while she was performing. I love her. At the second Road Block, teams had to endure a 15 minute body wax. All I can say is the boys on the race are in for some pain. Gary took it like a man, but Mallory did recognize that ridiculousness of the situation of getting a wax with her dad. Now that’s quality bonding! They got to the Pit Stop (on Copacabana Beach below the famous Brazilian Museum of Contemporary Art) in first place, winning not only a cruise through the Mediterranean, but a spot on the Finals.

Jules – TwoCents Reviewer

First off, you can read a recap and review for In Plain Sight’s season four premiere here. This week, we get back to focusing on the witness, which is great because we get a very interesting and challenging witness, who also happens to be a bit paranoid. Just because you’re a bit crazy, it doesn’t mean that there is someone out to get you, or is there?

Well this week, we get to find out in an episode full of twists and turns that brings yet another West Wing reunion, which just warms my heart.

It seems that “trust no one” is rivaling “winter is coming” for series’ mantra.

This week Ned learns that it’s really hard to investigate a murder when everyone and their grandma is a spy. With witnesses dropping dead (and that’s a really nice way of saying “getting speared in the neck”) and the looming threat of a man un-ironically nicknamed “The Mountain,” Ned is starting to realize just how dangerous it is for him in King’s Landing.

Elsewhere in Westeros, Catelyn gets a step closer to avenging Bran’s near-murder, Jon makes a friend, and Viserys descends further into madness (if that’s even possible – the man is clearly one wave short of a shipwreck).
