Chuck Intel Spies Fifth Season

season five is alive?

Over at TVLine.com and Deadline.com, sources are confirming that Chuck has indeed been picked up for another season.

“Sources confirm to TVLine that Chuck has cheated death once again and will return for a fifth season this fall,” Michael Ausiello reports, “NBC declined to comment, but I hear the Peacock is nearing a deal with producer Warner Bros. to bring the show back for at least 13 episodes.”

Based on the entertaining show panel at this year’s C2E2, anyone having this much fun deserves to keep it going. Maybe Bruce Campbell can make a guest appearance this season. Expect to hear more at NBC’s upfront presentation this weekend.

Update: It is official per Entertainment Weekly that Chuck has been renewed for a fifth season, but there’s a small catch. The fifth season will be thirteen episodes and this is to be the final season of the show. So, this is a little bittersweet for Chuck and Jeffster fans alike. Read creator Josh Schwartz’s confirmation via Twitter.

Prom. That is the word some of us fear when we hear it. Some of us have good memories of the prom but some of us have horror stories that we tuck away in the back of our mind to never tell. This is the subject of tonight’s episode and whether it brings up good or bad memories, it’s going to be a funny episode!

The show starts out with Brick actually playing with his one and only friend. Brick and his friend put on a play and it is good which makes Frankie and Mike think they are good parents. The next scene in the show is all about Axl’s dilema. Axl is troubled because he asked the wrong girl to prom via text. Times have changed, haven’t they?

Last week, Alicia had it out with Peter by moving him to another apartment. This week, she almost does the same with Kalinda, who starts looking for another job.

Quite frankly, Alicia was a bitch in this episode. We get it that she feels betrayed by Kalinda, who slept with Peter, but she goes pretty far with her verbal assaults.

It’s the first part of the finale, and it’s a powerful one. We open on a sad scene. It is pouring down with rain. Gibbs is standing, soaking, and there’s blood on his hoodie. Ducky and Palmer load a body into the van. It’s Mike Frank’s body. Gibbs’ mentor is dead!

Tate-Gate! Press Wants James Tate to Attend his Prom!

send tate to the prom!

The media has been a-buzz. Not just local, not just regional, not just national – but even INTERNATIONAL!

We here at TheTwoCents.com would like to support James Tate and hope the school administration can help overturn their decision. As Tate himself suggests, give him detention and let him do community service for his infractions of the rules – don’t take away his prom. Our own Editor-in-Chief, KP, knows Tate personally and mentioned that he is a quiet, hard-working, intelligent, young man.

Here we’ll keep track of all the media coverage we can find. We ask that YOU help. Comment with links and support. Go James! *Note, some links below are same stories through multiple outlets.

From CT Post: “Prom-blematic.? Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti: Tate situation ‘may need a second look.‘”

From Shelton Patch: Official statement from Superintendent Freeman Burr on James Tate and Prom:
“In response to your recent inquiry, I am aware of the local, state and national media attention surrounding the situation and I have no further comments regarding the matter at this time.”

Updated!!! James Tate gets to go to his prom!

Lie To Me, Human Target, Chicago Code, Breaking In and Traffic Light all Canceled?

no more breaking in

That’s what ‘sources’ are saying!

According to The Hollywood Reporter FOX has axed Lie To Me, Human Target, The Chicago Code, Breaking In and Traffic Light leading up to their Upfront announcements on Monday.

“Freshman comedy Breaking In, starring Christian Slater, is believed to be dead. This marks Slater’s third first-year series in a row to get the ax — NBC’s My Own Worst Enemy in 2008-09 and ABC’s The Forgotten in 2009-10.

Shawn Ryan’s freshman police drama The Chicago Code with Jason Clarke, Jennifer Beals and Matt Lauria is done. This is The Shield creator’s second cancellation this season; the first came with FX’s Terriers, which was not renewed for a second season. The showrunner reacted on Twitter, “Fox suits loved the show, but have a business to run.”

Freshman buddy comedy Traffic Light, based on an Israeli format, has also been canceled, sources say.

All rumors and leaks aside, from the title alone we could all tell that this episode was going to be big for a very special queen at McKinley High. But which one? Whoever it is, it’s someone in the Glee club, and that can only lead to drama.

Final Five to Final Four

Original Air Date: May 10, 2011

Anne – Associate Editor
anne@thetwocentscorp.com

Since nobody went home last week, we are still at our final five. Those left are Jay, Irene, Austin, Hannah and Olivia. I have to admit, none of my faves are still in it. I am still rooting for Courtney to win the at-home prize and am undecided about those still in the game. Olivia and Hannah are so proud that they are still in it together. They are the only team standing. I am not that fond of Olivia for some reason, but I like Hannah. I think that my favorite is Jay, who is still astounded that he didn’t go home last week. But there are no Fairy Godfathers this week. Someone is going home.

Ali meets them all and announces that its final exam week. They will have four different tests, one with each trainer:

Castle – Recap & Review – Pretty Dead

Castle
Pretty Dead

Original Air Date: May 9, 2011

Alexis P – Sr. Reviewer
Alexis@thetwocentscorp.com

In this week’s episode Kate and Castle step backstage of All American Beauty Pageant and into a world of beauty, backstabbing and blackmail. When Ms. Illinois, Amber Middlebury, is found strangled with her own sash Beckett and Castle must sort through a string of suspects to discover who murdered the beauty queen.

As the episode opens a group of pretty finalists are rehearsing a dance number for Baron’s All American Beauty Pageant to Gaga’s Born this Way. A lighting truss is lowered with the pretty dead body of Amber Middlebury draped across it. That’s a show stopper all right.
