Jo calls Jim and asks him if he’d like to be the acting manager until they find a permanent replacement but Jim turns it down because everyone has been doing just fine without a manager thus far. Immediately after Jim hangs up the phone, Dwight’s phone rings and it’s Jo offering the manager job to him. Dwight takes it, of course. Pam and Jim look on in horror because they realize the fate that has befallen them.

The Vampire Diaries – Recap & Review – As I Lay Dying

As I Lay Dying

Last week’s episode made me cry, gasp, and—to the extreme confusion of my neighbors (sorry!) repeatedly scream “Nooooo!” I almost wish that the season had ended then. It wasn’t that the finale was a bad episode; it was just that it was a lot more subdued than the frenzied awesomeness of “The Sun Also Rises.” So, after the “sound and the fury” of last week (hey, if they can superficially invoke Faulkner, so can I), the season finale felt like a denouement.

Regardless, “As I Lay Dying” was still a darn good episode, leaving us with one hell of a “WTF?!” moment to obsess over during the long summer months ahead.

Kutcher Joins 2.5 Men, Parenthood Renewed, Wonder Woman Gone…

not so 'wonder'ful

You try to sleep and Hollywood goes nuts with news!

According to various stories on The Hollywood Reporter, the TV landscape changed overnight.

First, Ashton Kutcher has replaced Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men. Sounds like a Twitter battle to me!

NBC, just days before the 2011/2012 Upfront presentations (TTC will be tweeting LIVE from inside the presentation on Monday!) has renewed Parenthood and Harry’s Law

Chief Resident, the battle is still on. Every person who wants to get a shot at the position has kicked it up another notch. The race is on and the end line is in sight but just out of reach. Owen has set up meetings with every candidate and wants to hear their ideas and see the outcome of what they have been doing.

Everyone is fighting for their one chance to win and if they can bring down whoever is in their way. They seem to stop at nothing.

Parks and Recreation – Recap & Review – The Fight

The Fight

Waffles, friends, and work. These are the three most important things in Leslie Knopes’s life. Parks and Recreation has been critically praised for a lot of things, particularly its positive portrayal of friendship between Leslie and Ann. They’ve both been unfalteringly supportive of each other when it comes to problems and situations in their lives but tonight, we see that friendship tested for the first time.

What might have been just a little disagreement between the two is amplified through alcohol, thanks to Tom’s wild party at Pawnee’s Snakehole Lounge where he debuts his very own drink called “Snake Juice.” Everyone else seems to have a pretty good time but Leslie and Ann are left to repair their strained relationship the morning after.

First of all, I want to declare today “Hell Yes, Kimball Cho” Day. So Happy Hell Yes, Kimball Cho Day!

Eleanor Ortega, concert master with the Sacramento Symphony, is found dead in a bus stop shelter in her old neighborhood — a rough place to be at night. A lone hydrangea petal is found on the ground at her feet. The gang unit is involved because of the neighborhood, and rubberneckers have come to watch. A young kid runs into Cho before he’s shooed back behind the line, and Jane is able to pinpoint the man who has information, although when Lisbon talks to him he runs away. She takes off after him instructing Cho to cut him off on the other end of the block — except his keys have gone missing. The kid is then shown in the car, taking off.

It is nights like this that make me believe the producers fix the voting results on Idol. There’s just no other way to explain this week’s shocking elimination.

I think complaints that women weren’t doing well on the show got to them. It’s been a sentiment that’s been building over the years, but came to a full boil this season. Even the contestants — male contestants — agreed with the theory.

We waited a week wondering what kind of menace could have come to Greendale to wreck havoc. A week has passed since Pierce went phantom on us having dispatched a hired gun.

It has been a weak couple of sentences hinting towards one of the themes of this week’s episode, but only takes one scene to solidify that the number of references is going to be epic. So let’s join the alliance in progress.

If by some chance I am ever a fictional patient in need of fictional medical attention in California, I hope to steer clear of Pacific Wellness. Don’t get me wrong, some of the doctors would be perfectly acceptable, but I hope I never fictionally have to be treated by Violet or Naomi.

As the season draws to a close, the relationships at Pacific Wellness have never been more fractured. Addison and Sam are trying to move past their break up, Amelia is clinging to sobriety, Violet is vile and selfish (her words), and Naomi seems determined to alienate everyone.
