A marine stumbles through the woods covered in blood, obviously hurt when he reaches a campsite but instead of helping him the occupants flee because they saw a ‘monster’ stumbling out of the woods. The marine dies, the left side of his face brutally disfigured.

A horrible crime which doesn’t stand on its own as the team finds out quickly after they visit the marines campsite where he was attacked and left for dead. Garcia connects the murder to another murder which happened a week prior. This victim was also disfigured on the left side of his face.

Smoked

I approached SVU’s season finale with a mix of excitement and foreboding. I’ll explain why under the cut in case of anyone who hasn’t seen the episode yet, but for now…well, the episode itself was exciting, at least. And foreboding, too.

The victim of the week is Annette, a woman who had been raped by a hairdresser to the stars named Luke. Before she can go to trial, though, she is shot in the head in front of her daughter, the whole incident caught on security cameras.

I always enjoy when the show tests the chefs’ senses to see if they can tell which ingredients are what. I also enjoy challenges where the chefs have to cook for specific people and their specific tastes. It can be a challenge to incorporate what people like into dishes. Plus, there’s a marriage proposal! Plus, Hugh? Still a bit of an ass!

American Idol — Recap & Review — Top 3

American Idol
Top 3

I have to admit that I’ve lost a lot of my belief in the judging system for this show. Here’s what I think is going to happen. Because of the whole “women can’t win” thing, we may get a two woman finale. Even if Scotty makes it to next week, Lauren is going to win — not because she’ll get the votes, but because the producers want her to.

But I am determined to enjoy the final three and I think they all gave great effort tonight. Not all the songs were successful, whether it was due to the song choice or their voices were really tired. Each performed three songs — one they chose, one Jimmy Iovine chose and one the judges chose.

Let’s get the sadness out of the way off the top. After next week’s finale, we won’t have any We Should Have Live Cougars On Cougar Town until November. The show is moving to Tuesdays and will air during Dancing With The Stars off season. I’m fine with the new night, but six months is too long without any new Penny Can!

Tonight we continue with Travis being a sad sack over his Kirsten break-up and Bobby Cobb’s Penny Can business. But we also meet the scary Chalk Children. Let’s get down to it, shall we?

According to Cam, they key to pratfalls is the juxtaposition of absurdity against a formal setting. And physical comedy was definitely the key to tonight’s standout episode of Modern Family.

I’ve been a little hard on what I have viewed to be an uneven sophomore season of the show. But if every episode was like tonight, I’d take back all of my criticism. Because, clearly, all we needed was a series of physical mishaps interwoven with snappy dialogue to bring it all back together.

OK, there can be no discussion about the season finale without a complete breakdown of the final five minutes. Was that hot and steamy enough for you? I’m still feeling it. Whew!

And it’s a good thing we get this pay off, because the court case was about as twisty and windy as you could ask for. Let’s take each section of the show separately, shall we?

We pick up where last episode left off. We now know the killer is Jonas Cobb, a trained assassin turned rogue after some inhumane treatment and training by the CIA during “Operation Frankenstein”. Cobb is smart and he lured EJ Barrett’s team to a remote location where he took them down and took EJ hostage. Can our NCIS team get her back safely?
