Criminal Minds
Supply & Demand (Season Finale)

Original Air Date: May 18, 2011

To say the land of Criminal Minds fandom has been full of ups and downs in the last year would be an understatement. I’m kind of glad the season is over, if just to get a break from the drama. Of course, the drama for this season started last summer, so I may not get a break at all! Time will tell.

That aside, this season finale did not leave us with a cliffhanger, or an ‘OMG IS SOMEONE GOING TO DIE?!’ moment. It did, however, leave us with questions about next season’s casting, which if you’ve followed the Criminal Minds news, you’re already aware of. If you’re not, read on.

HART OF DIXIE
CW
Fast-talking New Yorker and brand new doctor Zoe Hart has it all figured out – after graduating top of her class from medical school, she’ll follow in her father’s footsteps and become a cardio-thoracic surgeon. But when her dreams fall apart, Zoe decides to accept an offer from a stranger, Dr. Harley Wilkes, to work with him at his small practice in Bluebell, Alabama .

Zoe arrives in this small Gulf Coast town only to find that Harley has passed away and left his half of the medical practice to her in his will. She quickly finds that Southern hospitality isn’t always so hospitable – the other doctor in town, Brick Breeland, is less than pleased to be sharing the practice with this young outsider, and his daughter, Lemon, is a Southern belle whose sweet disposition turns sour when she meets Zoe. Zoe’s only allies are the mayor, former football star Lavon Hayes, her bad-boy neighbor Wade Kinsella, and handsome lawyer George Tucker – who just happens to be Lemon’s fiancé. Zoe is out of her element and ready to pack her bags, but a surprise visit by her snobby New York mother leads to Zoe’s decision to stay in Bluebell for a while, discovering small-town life and a side of herself she hadn’t known was there.

The series stars Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart, Jaime King as Lemon Breeland, Wilson Bethel as Wade Kinsella, Cress Williams as Lavon Hayes, McKaley Miller as Rose and Scott Porter as George Tucker. HART OF DIXIE is from Bonanza Productions Inc., in association with Fake Empire, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, with executive producers Leila Gerstein (“Gossip Girl,” “Eli Stone”), Josh Schwartz (“Gossip Girl,” “Chuck,” “The O.C.”), Stephanie Savage (“Gossip Girl,” “The O.C.”), Len Goldstein and Jason Ensler (“Gossip Girl,” “Chuck”). The pilot was directed by Jason Ensler.

The last episode of the season is here already! Can you believe it? It’s been quite the ride from the beginning of the season. For a second there, it seemed as if a major trauma was coming our way in this final episode – a plane crash.

But to my surprise that storyline was hardly used. Instead the time was used to resolve some issues and start some new storylines which will continue into the next season. There are no huge unresolved mysteries … not like last season anyway, This year, cliffhangers are more on a personal level for the characters.

HOLY CRAP! Oh my — no way. What?! But — ANSWER YOUR PHONE! But if s/he isn’t the mole…

Oh, sorry. My bad. I started at the end and I should start at the beginning of this explosive finale. In the first five minutes a guy with a bomb strapped to his chest is detonated in a convenience store parking lot when he has the misfortune to run into some cops. See what I did there by using the word “explosive”?

All the polls had Lauren Alaina heading home for good tonight. So of course she’s in the finale. If you’ve heard my rants and raves before, here we go again. It just proves yet one more time that the producers are ignoring the votes and ushering Lauren toward the Idol crown.

So please remember that next week — Your Votes Don’t Count. Not that I don’t want you to vote, but it probably won’t make a difference unless you’re voting for a certain 16-year-old girl with a country twang.

Sometimes life is all about change. These changes can happen in an instant or take a long time to build. But at the end of it all, you can either run from change or embrace it. Because, as we all know, change is inevitable.

Yes, there was definitely a theme to this season finale. And if you’re not a fan of the word change, don’t worry, I’ll only use if thirty or forty more times in my review! So let’s take a look at all of the change that took place in this hour, and don’t forget to share your thoughts on the surprise/shocking last seconds of the season.

We have finally arrived to the season finale, and what a doozey it was! It started out fantastically as Wendall says; “I’m about to Brennanize you.” But then we swiftly move to Bones telling Angela that she is very concerned for her and the baby and can hardly think of anything else. I know for a fact we would not have witnessed such a confession from her a few years back, this is a good sign.
