Christopher Meloni Will Not Return to Law & Order: SVU

this photo has 1 too many stars

According to Variety: “Christopher Meloni will not be returning to “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” for a 13th season after failing to come to an agreement with NBC. The network is looking to bring in a new actor who would play a character to replace Meloni’s Det. Elliot Stabler.”

That’s a big blow for the last remaining Law & Order franchise.

What do you folks think? Can the show go on without him or does it not matter? Who would you like to see replace Meloni? How will they write his character off the show?

American Idol — Recap & Review — Finale

Finale

Scotty McCreery got screwed tonight and part of it might be his own fault. Last week he won the coin toss to decide who went first and he let Lauren choose. Of course, she chose to go second. There’s being a gentleman and there’s being a competitor – at this point, it’s no time to be a gentleman, as he will sadly learn Wednesday night.

Granted, I have been predicting for weeks now that the producers have been stacking the deck for a Lauren Alaina win. Tonight they went into turbo gear. For instance:

• They mentioned FIVE times that Lauren is 16 years old (the wonder kid!!) to ONCE saying that Scotty is 17.

This episode was…well, all I can say is that this finale perfectly encapsulated everything that was both good and bad about the show this season. New Directions find themselves in New York for Nationals and are determined to write the songs they have to perform in their hotel rooms the day before the competition. But who needs winning material when the Big Apple is just begging to be explored?

So did they take home the trophy? Were we subjected to more inane love triangles? Read on after the jump to find out!

Amanda – Sr. Reviewer

Yet another season of Dancing With The Stars is now in the history books, and everything from guilty pleasures to classical, from glitz and glamour to lost shoes and freaky neck injuries, has led us to this moment, when all the stars from Season 12 (the most-watched season ever, according to Brooke) reunite in the ballroom. One star, of course, will be awarded the coveted, yet tacky, Mirrorball Trophy.

Hines and Chelsea are tied at the top of the leaderboard, with Kirstie not far behind. Will Hines and Kym’s athleticism award them the crown? Will Chelsea and Mark’s creative choreography give them the victory? Or will Kirstie and Maks prove that age is only a number? Read on to find out…LIVE!

House – Recap & Review – Moving On

Cuddy is staring at an accident scene. Wilson is getting his wrist bandaged. A cop asks Cuddy questions and she tells him that if he ever comes near her or steps foot in her hospital she wants to press charges against Greg House. Oh boy. What’s House done this time?

The screen says: “Three days earlier”. House and the group watch some performance art video from House’s hospital bed. The artist is their newest patient, Afsoun. In the video, people dump a bunch of stuff like paint thinner on her and then almost set her on fire. Afsoun’s assistant and on again – off again boyfriend, Luca, stops them setting her ablaze and then she passes out. Performance art? Really? I hate performance art almost as much as interpretive dance.

Well the final episode is here. We were left with a cliff hanger last week. I cannot wait to see what they will be able to do this week. We know Liam has been hospitalized, but he managed to get the information that they need in order to take down the alderman and the Irish mob. There is also the lingering question after last week about what will happen with Jarek now that he is aware that the alderman knows what happened to his brother. Cannot wait to see what will happen!
