This week, I decided to jump a few episodes ahead to blowback. This is one of the episodes that looking back has a lot of great insight into this show. Also this has one of my favorite people in the world, Kurt Sutter. He is the mastermind behind Sons of Anarchy, and was one of the writers for The Shield. With an episode like this, I don’t know how anyone could have not gotten into this show!

As if Deadwood didn’t already have enough rough n’ tumble types, this week sees the arrival of yet another den of whores and gamblers. Elsewhere in the camp, Wild Bill continues to spiral, Dan Dority gets another notch on his Deadwood Death Count, and Brom Garrett hits it rich in the afterlife.

The Nine Lives of Chloe King – Recap & Review – Pilot

The Nine Lives of Chloe King
Pilot

When I sat down to watch the premiere episode for the new ABC-Family series, The Nine Lives of Chloe King, I have to say that my expectations were pretty low. A teen-action drama based on a series of teen novels featuring a mostly unknown cast? Add that to the fact that it airs on a channel not on my regular viewing schedule, and you have a perfect storm for limited expectations.

The cheerleader in me is happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the show! While there are some aspects in the pilot that bothered me, the series shows some definite promise.

This week we will be looking into The Darkness. This probably has one of the greatest TV montages in my opinion. With everything that Duncan has gone through, this seems to be one of the hardest moments for him.

Love Bites – Recap & Review – Keep On Truckin’

This week Judd crashes a party with a fellow tattoo artist and gets a surprise as to what the party is all about. Annie goes on a blind date with one guy but is surprised by another. Ricky is a “player” with the ladies and meets the female version of him and learns a thing or two.

Goodbye Boob:
Judd and Dan crash a party at Alex’s (Laura Prepon) because Dan wants to get to know her better. But they soon find out that it is a goodbye party to Alex’s boobs. She is having a mastectomy. I think the reaction by the guys were pretty spot on with feeling awkward and not knowing what to say. It was sad to see the real emotions of Alex as Dan tells her it is a shame she is losing the breasts.

The Unusuals – Summer DVD Review – Boorland Day

The Unusuals
Boorland Day

Today Casey and Walsh are called to the scene of a bank robbery. In the chase, Walsh pushes Casey into a pile of garbage. Then we flashback to 30 minutes earlier and Walsh telling Casey how crazy 2nd squad is. Casey what they call a “utility player” meaning she can do just about anything, that’s going to come in handy in the 2nd! All over the precinct there are robberies going on, and they’re getting weird.

Walsh has caught the kid running away from the bank with a garbage bag full of money. He’s only 16, but bank robbery is a pretty serious offense. He’s an honor student and it seems out of character, but since it’s a federal crime he’s pretty screwed.

So You Think You Can Dance – Recap & Review – 2 of 20 Voted Off

So You Think You Can Dance
2 of 20 Voted Off

Original Air Date: Jun 16, 2011

Cat looks rocking and innocent in pink after last night’s sultry and slinky black number. Loving her style this season so far. The group dance at this earlier stage of the competition is always hard because there are a billion poeple on stage. Add in that they are totally matching and doing a kind of SnM routine with canes and I can barely pick anyone out.

Oh well, on to the eliminations! We know that Mitchell is automatically in the bottom because he couldn’t perform but there will also be three other couples who will have to dance for their lives individually. Who will it be? Check it out after the jump.

The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. – Summer DVD Review – Socrates’ Sister

Before we go farther, please note the episode schedule I will follow is the production schedule as established on the DVD. So, the original air dates will jump around from week to week, but I insist this is how Cuse intended it to run.

Another week comes close to a close and it’s time to wrangle up some criminals from the notorious Bly gang. Last week Brisco seemed to have taken care of Big Smith by sending him to the bottom of a canyon. Good riddance. This week, Brisco tries to put away a sly master thief and counterfeiter. So let’s saddle up…

This is it! The finale! (By the way, isn’t that a pretty ridiculous episode title? “Top Chef Masters Finale”? As if we didn’t know what show we were watching?) Three chefs remain – Mary Sue, Traci, and Floyd. I think each of them has an equal shot at winning. They’ve all made great food and but each of them has stumbled a little on occasion.
