So our hero Brisco has been dispatching Bly’s gang with an efficient one per episode ratio. Problem is they keep dying on him instead of going to prison, notice that? Not good to let the bounty perish before receiving vital intel on Bly.

This week, Brisco’s hot on the trail of Bly and running into a friend from the past, which could be for better or worse in the wild, wild west. Regu-watchers, let’s saddle up!

So You Think You Can Dance – Recap & Review – Top 20 Perform Again

So You Think You Can Dance
Top 20 Perform Again

Original Air Date: Jun 22, 2011

Last week an unprecedented NO dancers went home in the first week of competition. So despite what your DVR says, this will once again be the “Top 20 Perform”, and not the “Top 18 Perform.” This week, Nigel & Co. will be sending home four dancers, two boys and two girls. Who will it be? Well, we won’t know that until tomorrow, so let’s see how they dance tonight to try and gain viewer votes!

I’m filling in for Rachel, your regular TwoCents-er, this week. I have no background in dance outside of a high school elective and multiple seasons of this show. So while I may not be able to expertly comment on a fouette en tournant, I do know when a dance moves and captivates me… So let’s all judge together!

Last week we met Chloe King, as she learned she is part of an ancient race, the Mai, with cat-like abilities being hunted down by a human organization. Not just that, but Chloe is the Uniter, a Mai who has nine lives to live and will save her race.

This week we see her dealing with the death of Xavier, a boy she kissed before knowing that it could kill him. We also see more of her relationships with her mother and her best friends, Amy and Paul. As if that isn’t enough, things start to get interesting with Brian, another human boy she can’t seem to stay away from.

It’s time for team challenges to begin. Remember in school when you got group assignments and it just turned into a lot of drama? Remember how almost everyone hated having to work as a team? Yeah, me too, and I don’t envy our cooks at all. Especially when one team has Mr. Condescending Max on it, and the other has Ms. Bossypants Suzy.

But it makes for good TV, right? Right.

I thought this was a great episode. I loved seeing Annie risk the chance of losing her career in order to find the leak at the farm. It wasn’t all that long ago that she was there and I know she felt a connection to the new trainee’s and was determined to nip it in the bud! I also enjoyed the way the spy world met Annie’s personal world at the hospital. The super secret spy stuff out in the parking lot was kind of cool if you ask me.

So, in episode 5, we missed Veronica dumping Troy via figuring out that he was planning to steal his dad’s car and his friend’s drugs and go meet his ex-girlfriend. Goodbye, Troy. Also, Veronica found a bunch of photos in her mom’s safe deposit box. The photos are surveillance photos of Veronica and they all have gun-sight cross-hairs on them.

This episode offers a really nice contrast between two friends’ dads and a guest role for Sue Sylvester. (I mean, Jane Lynch has legally changed her name to that now, right?)

I hope you’re continuing to watch along because I’m really excited to be reliving these episodes, especially this one. In the first season finale, the President ventures out of the oval office and into the public eye, while we have two problems going on with a space shuttle and a downed fighter plane in Iraq.

All the while, we get a tiny glimpse into the personal lives and back story of some of the west wing staff and with a surprise ending. I won’t spoiler it here, so let’s get started.

As the title of this episode suggests, there were a lot of goodbyes this week. All the pretty little liars had to deal with the possible loss of someone or something important to them…Aria looks at the possibility of life without Ezra; Emily almost leaves everything behind, Spencer deals with Toby’s possible exit and finally Hanna contemplates ending her friendship with Mona.

Wow! It’s no wonder there wasn’t much smiling!

The Mystery Box is back! I didn’t doubt that it would be, but I have to admit that I have a fondness for this challenge. Being a huge fan of shows like Chopped, though, I get excited when cooking competition shows go “here’s a box of randomness, sink or swim!” Yes, I know that’s really dorky, but I’m okay with that.

Besides, when I think of the Mystery Box Challenge now after the long break between seasons, what comes to mind first is Slim pulling a live crab apart last summer. Yuergh. I need new Mystery Box memories.
