In the best episode of the season, Bon Temps prepares for Halloween (they follow the Contrivance Calendar), but I have to ask—in a city in which practically every citizen is a vampire, werewolf, shapeshifter, witch, or ghost – do you really need a Halloween?

There’s a lot happening in town this week, as Eric struggles with his new condition and raids Jason’s wardrobe, Jason gets panthered, Bill gets a date, Andy relapses, and a sexy werewolf makes a welcome return.

This week is a very transitional episode. Almost every character has a major plot development this week, and we’ve seemingly set up the story arcs that will take us through the end of the season.

After tonight, we’ve got four episodes left in the freshman season. Switched At Birth has posted incredibly strong ratings for ABC Family, so it seems very likely there will be a second season. So as we all make sure to let the network know how much we enjoy their well written and acted drama, let’s take stock of tonight’s plots that keep us riveted.

Rescue Me – Season Six Recap

are you ready to say goodbye?

I still remember the first episode of Rescue Me. Tommy Gavin took over my television screen like no one had before. It’s been seven years of ups and downs (mostly downs…) with our favorite New York City firefighters and this season, it all comes to an end in what appears to be some of the best television we’ve ever seen.

Personally, I’m going to cry like a baby when that final scene ends. I’ve never missed an episode, even when I didn’t like the story (Lou writing poetry? Colleen is an alcoholic?). We’ve sure been through a lot with the Gavin clan.

So before we begin to say goodbye this Wednesday (July 13th), below are quick recaps of what happened in season six (remember that season six was split in half so the series would end in a seventh season on the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11).

As usual, Bill and Judy are the parents from hell but they are awesome! To the kids, maybe not. Anyway, Bill already has a rocky relationship with his 12-year-old daughter, Lauren but he messes it up even more when he gets into her boy business.

The word of the week in the Big Brother house? FLOATER. Better grab your life vest, because Rachel and Brendon are bringing back the phrase they coined last season now that the BB Golden Key twist is in play. But with a certain houseguest leaving the show early (tune in Wednesday night for details), will Brenchel’s week one nominations even matter?

It’s been two weeks since our last new episode, yet it felt longer (again). This week we hit the ground running with a “two-fer” when some bad guys confuse one brother for the other and both subsequently end up in WITSEC.

The bickering brothers in this episode felt a bit familiar for the show, but it was the dramatic turn focusing on Mary’s baby that really brought it home. And some of that scattered Mary sarcasm. I have really missed that the last two weeks, so let’s get to it.

TwoCents & Five Questions with Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer)

photo: tnt

Kyra Sedgwick, Actress

We all saw Kyra Sedwgick debut in the hit series, The Closer in 2005, she was best known for her role in the movie in Gamer and the widely popular movie Something to Talk About. However, The Closer has shown a side of Kyra that we never have seen before. She’s in a completely different world when she plays the feisty southern woman named Brenda Lee Johnson. Kyra talks about the affects the show has had on her as a person and the how her relationship with everyone on the show will change this final season.

The reason I love this show is because I have a deep connection with the show. I see a lot of me in Brenda. I am addicted to my job and sometimes I let that get in the way of my relationships with my family and friends. I can also be someone that denies things until I’m forced to deal with them. Brenda and I also share an obsession for chocolate. When I watch the show, I have a connection with the show that I don’t have with any other show.

TTC: How would you describe Brenda and Fritz’s relationship?
