Psych Producer Steve Franks knows that he’s blown it. And a fan called him on it at the Pysch Comic-Con panel Thursday.

“Whatever happened to the musical episode?” the fan asked.

Franks sighed. “I’m a big liar,” he said. “I promised one but I learned that you can’t write musical in three weeks. I promise we’ll start writing on Monday and it will be the first episode of Season 7.” (Cue the massive cheering here.)

Comic-Con 2011 Report – Covert Affairs

Forget Taylor Lautner and his abs (OK, the thousands of fan who spent hours waiting to see him in Hall H for Abduction wouldn’t agree), in Ballroom 20, during Thursday’s Covert Affairs panel, it was Christopher Gorham’s shirtless figure that received screams so long that the panel had to pause for a few minutes.

But the actor who got the biggest laugh was Peter Gallagher, who complimented the Comic Con founders. “I’m excited to be here,” he said, “ and seeing all the people who love our show. But I’m most excited that they chose to use one of my eyebrows on the Comic-Con poster.” Then he wagged one of his heavy eyebrows to emphasize the similarities.

Burn Notice Panel is Small but Filled with Laughs

Who knew that actor Bruce Campbell was one of the funniest men at Comic-Con?

Campbell served as the moderator and one-half of the Burn Notice panel on Thursday morning. Showrunner Matt Nix joined Campbell on stage and his sly sense of biting humor played off Campbell’s in a way that often had attendees close to tears (the good kind, of course).

Chuck Star Questions Nielsens at Comic-Con

During the TV Guide Fan Favorites panel at Thursdays’ Comic-Con in San Diego, Chuck star Zachary Levi showed brutal honesty when a fan posed a question about the Nielsens, the system that measures TV ratings.

“Is there something we can do about them, because they’re killing off all our favorite shows?” pleaded the fan, referring to cult favorites in the fantasy and sci-fi genres, which typically get lower ratings than show like any version of Real Housewvives.

Comic-Con 2011 Off to a Great Start

The only real problem with San Diego Comic-Con, as any devoted attendee will tell you, is the lines and the crowds. But while this year’s event hasn’t banished those necessary evils, they seem much more controlled.

It didn’t appear that way at first. A few friends tried to get their four-day pass on Wednesday at an on-site badge redemption area, but the line of cars to get into the site was almost as long as the lines for Hall H for the new Twilight film!

Rescue Me – Recap & Review – Menses

After last week’s underwhelming (according to my spell check, it’s a word…) season premiere, I was really hoping for something really intense this week. What we got was something that almost made me go “yes, Rescue Me is back!”

The beginning of the end is near, with a 9/11 documentary talking to the house and the Gavin clan. Will Tommy agree? On top of that, Lou needs to take his physical and a surprise meeting with an old friend may help or hurt Tommy’s progress with Sheila and Janet.

Burn Notice – Recap & Review – Square One

Burn Notice
Square One

Last time we saw Michael he was being framed for Max’s murder. This week he gets assigned a new female agent, who likens herself to a pitbull unfortunately, as his new handler and whose running point on Max’s case. Also Matt Lauria graces my screen once again (which is never a bad thing) as a hot-headed sniper named Ethan whose out to get a man who put his sister in the hospital. What results is Michael getting back to square one in the Max arena, but also taking Ethan under his wing as the fragilities of being a spy get opened up by the young man’s presence.

A warning: this episode might involve the harming of a beautiful piece of vehicular machinery. Watch with caution. Jesse’s beautiful Porsche…

So You Think You Can Dance – Recap & Review – 2 of 10 Voted Off

So You Think You Can Dance
2 of 10 Voted Off

The Opening Group routine is a flashy Broadway number and it’s good, but I miss the old set with the stairs and the Wade Robson routines. Now there’s only four in the bottom dancing for their lives, and the judges have to cut one guy and one girl. Should be easy right?

Probably not. Find out who’s in danger after the jump!

Arrested Development – Summer DVD Review – Key Decisions

I wonder if Michael Bluth ever gets to go home and… watch Jeopardy. Or read a magazine. Today does not seem to be that day. Upon entering the house he is assaulted by Lindsey’s complaints about the fact that he’s selling the company jet and making her return the rental car, and then he has to listen to her speeches about caring about the environment. It doesn’t end when Lindsey leaves, though. GOB comes in to complain about the fact that he’s always playing second fiddle to his girlfriend Marta, who may be about to win an award for Spanish-language daytime television.
