Johnny Galecki Drops A Few Small BBT Spoilers

Actor Johnny Galecki received his first Emmy nomination this year for his excellent work as a straight man on The Big Bang Theory. The news was a welcome surprise for his fans, but an even greater shock to him.

“I thought the announcements were a week later,” he admitted. “I had an uncharged cell phone and I was staying in my girlfriend’s apartment. It took then one and half hours to track me down. But I’m still in shock.”

As for the season’s shocking ending, where Penny and Raj sleep together, Galecki is quick to show his disapproval.

“I wasn’t a big fan of that,” he said. “I think we’re all [the male characters in the show] very protective of Penny. But I have a feeling — because I overheard the writers – that Leonard and Priya are will have a long distance relationship this season. I also believe that Penny’s feelings for Leonard are starting to solidify.”

S5 will be the last for the fan favorite but ratings challenged Chuck. At the TV Guide Fan Favorites panel at Comic-Con, star Zachary Levi talked about saying good-bye to the show that made him a star.

He started out by thanking the show’s devoted fans.

“We want to thank everyone who has fought for us and bought Subway sandwiches,” he said with a Chuck-like grin. “This is an incredible journey that we’re been on together. This season is going to be bittersweet.”

Levi joked that with every season of Chuck, his hair has gotten shorter. “At least you know what season you’re watching,” he added. “But it’s good knowing that we’re leaving on our own terms. Not many shows get that. It will be nice to have that closure.”

“I just want things to go back to the way they were,” is what Walter pleaded to his upset controlling boss, right before Gus split open his second in command’s neck. This act was done to send a message. Message received.

I can’t help but believe that this whole episode was just a presentation of people trying to excise the demons in their life.

Holy Salt Water! – Supernatural Mondays – Reel vs Real: The Angelic Order

photo: the cw

Since the introduction of Castiel in Season 4, we’ve had a veritable who’s who of the Bible gracing out screens. From Zachariah to the archangel Gabriel, the angel mythology over the past seasons has given us a glimpse of what life is like up there in Heaven. But when it comes right down to it, there are still a few unasked questions just begging to be answered. In this instalment of Reel vs Real, I fact-check the angels in SPN against the angels from the Bible. This week I propose – what exactly is the angelic hierarchy up in Heaven anyway?

KPonTV on ER Final Season on DVD

photo: warnerbros

With sirens wailing, an ambulance pulls into the bay. Doctors coping with too little sleep and too many patients rush to help, making split-second judgments that can mean the difference between life and death. Gurneys roll. Tensions rise. Medical miracles — or heartbreaks — unfold.

And the final season of ER goes out as it came in 15 seasons before — with an electrifying mix of complex characters, rich storylines, brisk pacing and kinetic style. Favorite characters from the past (some you expect, some may surprise you) return in this 22-episode valedictory season of the series that shattered the mold for medical dramas. You’ve come to the right place. Check in one last, momentous time at County General.

With the official synopsis of this DVD package, you have to be intrigued. If you’re a fan of the show, like I am, you KNOW you’ll be intrigued by the FINAL season of this journey.

Comic-Con 2011 Report: Sarah Michelle Gellar is a Ringer

There’s a big difference between playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Bridget on Ringer – at least for star Sarah Michelle Gellar.

“My character was supposed to fall down and they wanted to bring in a stunt person,” she said at Thursday’s Comic-Con panel on the new TV show. “I said that I could do it – it was just a fall. There was lots of discussion. Then I showed them how I’d do it and they said, ‘oh, OK.’ But then I wanted to do the stunt where she goes through a wall and they definitely said no this time.”

Comic-Con 2011 Report: Games of Thrones Thrills

For a TV show that’s only been on the air for a few months, HBO’s Game of Thrones attracted thousands of rabid fans at its Comic-Con panel. Moderated by George R.R. Martin, author of the book series is show based on, the panel — filled with the large cast — wallowed in intense waves of love from the audience (they especially went wild over Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister, and just received an Emmy nomination).

Producer David Benioff recalled the moment he was asked to adapt the Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series into an entertainment vehicle.

Comic-Con 2011: Fan Favorites Remember That Special Moment

Patricia Morris Buckley — Sr. Staff Writer
pmb@thetwocentscorp.com

At the TV Guide Fan Favorites panel, each participant answered the question “How did you first know your show was a hit?”

Johnny Galecki (Leonard on The Big Bang Theory): “It was the first year we were here. I thought coming to Comic-Con was a horrible idea and I made that clear on the way down. The producer even tried to call and get us into a smaller room. We’re not a sci-fi show. But when we saw the response, it was extremely touching to us.”
