There are many situations Nancy gets herself into that I would not want to find myself in, and staring down Haylia James and her shotgun is added to that list. We remember Haylia from the first seasons of the show, one of the original suppliers of Nancy.

Thankfully she only gets a chance to fire a few property-damaging shots before she’s interrupted by none other than Dean Hodes, another old face from the Egrestic days!

This episode introduces us to a new Nick Andopolis; one we haven’t seen for a very long time. The new and improved Nick is alert, awake, and not as slow moving and it’s all for one reason: it’s been five days and no pot. Without a steady supply of weed coming in and out of the freak group, Nick might be more aware of the things surrounding him but he’s miserable. As he voices his concerns about what to do now that there’s no weed, Daniel calmly answers him, “Not be stoned?” Even though Nick seems lost without the weed, there’s one plus side: Lindsay is starting to enjoy being around him again. So much, that she invites him to skip class with her and hang out.

KPonTV on 2011 Emmy Picks – Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama

emmy picks: supporting actor drama

Every year I attempt to predict the Emmys. I’m usually wrong. How wrong? If I was a weather man, I’d predict snow in July.

However, I’m a self-proclaimed TV critic and thus, it’s in my mental contract with myself to try to predict the winners. I am fortunate enough to have seen at least SOME of the episodes of most of the nominated shows and can speak pretty well on most of the actors. So, let’s see if my predictions can hold any water this year. (I wouldn’t hold your breath.)

In any case, I hope I can start a debate with you all and we can discuss the possible winners in the comments below. Here we go!

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series

2010 Winner: Aaron Paul, Breaking Bad (not eligible in 2011)

Claudia and Jinks are on assignment, hunting down a relic flask on a Civil War battlefield. Also known as a needle and a haystack. Pete and Artie are in the deep of the Warehouse, Artie is working and Pete is being…well Pete, when Leena calls because Pete’s ex-wife has arrived.

Myka has just arrived back at the inn from a trip and she’s, ya know, chattering on, while Leena tries to introduce her to Amanda (Jeri Ryan). Myka gets stymied when she sees that Amanda has Pete’s last name. Pete shuts Myka out, while Amanda reams him about what he’s doing in the middle of nowhere. She also gives him a vintage comic book, her supposed reason for being in Univille. He turns into a twelve-year-old boy, so charming!

The Astreus project is full speed ahead, and the nerdy scientists are in physical training. Well, that’s gotta be fun! Especially since Jo is the drill sergeant, and she is tough! Zane is about the only one who is fit enough to do the training. Fargo and Marten also have to go through it, which is bound to be entertaining.

With everyone focused on the mission (I mean who doesn’t want to go to space!), Jack is overjoyed when Andy calls and tells him there’s been a bank robbery. He practically skips to the crime scene so he can do good old-fashioned police work, only to find that the entire bank building has been stolen.

Who knew that Weaver had such a tragic back story? Those pills he’s been chugging? Sort of understandable now.

But the first image we see of him in this episode is him smiling. That’s something we haven’t seen before. Too bad it’s all a dream.

There’s a lot happening in this episode. Let’s count them down.

I have to say, despite an interesting twist, this wasn’t the best Leverage episode. Not only was the writing off a bit, but the actors weren’t on top of their game either. They seemed a bit tired and unmotivated.

The story began when a computer geek finds Nate. His boss stole a revolutionary computer chip that he had been working on at home and then fired him. So our heroes set out to do what they do best — steal it back.
