Can you believe the season finale is here already? It has gone much too quickly for this fan and I feel the need to petition USA Network for longer seasons, who is with me? I can tell you this; the season did not disappoint me and if you are not watching…you should!

The final episode mostly dealt with trust issues and who can our characters trust with the information we decide to share with them. Annie decides she is going to tell Danielle who she really is, after a sparring session with Auggie. But she chickens out and things get a bit out of control. Continue reading

We’re down to only six cooks: Adrien, Jennifer, Christian, Suzy, Tracy, and Ben. All of them have strong points and weak points. Ben has a talent for being a little odd (in a good way, usually), while Christian takes the prize in kissing one’s own behind. Flexible, that one. Suzy was the runner up there, but at least she seems to be listening to criticism and learning from it. Jennifer and Adrien are just good, and have proven to be very resilient.

But someone has to go home, right? No fun.

This week Gordon threw the chefs into a real kitchen, cooking for one of the most prestigious restaurants in Los Angeles, then gave them a rather fishy pressure test. Who failed to deliver the goods? Read on…

Design Star – Recap & Review – Episode 5

Design Star
Episode 5

Original Air Date: Aug 8, 2011

Patricia Morris Buckley —Sr. Staff Writer

I think that the producers of Design Star have discovered it’s cheaper to do the dreaded kitchen challenge in a white box than a real home. For many years, the producers have had to return to those homes and set them right — not cheap, I’m sure.

But while the venue is slightly changed, the challenge is basically the same and complete with the traditional pitfalls. While Karl pulled off a great backsplash a few weeks ago, it does seem to be the Achilles’ heel of this challenge. And two different designers fell victim to its evil influence.

So let’s review, because my brain is still whirling. Beverly has taken over Allison’s brain, which is beyond scary. And Jo and Zane are still figuring everything out. So what happens now? Well Beverly has a chance to overtake GD because Fargo is letting Allison be interim head of GD.

And with Zoe back in town, the Zane problem gets bigger.

First off, my cable provider had this listed as “Rock Your Body” instead of “U Don’t Know”. So no matter which title you’re looking for, this is the right place to be!

Well, this two-parter had three very strong storylines. I usually list them in order of importance, but with Holly J being clearly the main arc, the other two were equally compelling. Usually we have a tiny third story, with either comic or no ramifications, but that wasn’t the case this week at all. So let’s discuss!

This weeks episode started off with a strange twist and we got to see more of the lawsuit mess early in the episode with a very powerful ending. That may have been the most powerful ending I have ever seen on The Closer ever. I thought I had the killer nailed early, but I was so wrong. That is why this show ranks among the best shows on TV right now.

Well things seem to be rolling now for the Botwins. Nancy has found a steady (hopefully) supplier for weed in her old frenemy Haylia, and a cover business for the product in Andy’s little bike shop funded with some of Shane’s student loan money. And as per Nancy’s request, Shane is attending at least one college course.

Now she’s ready to get back in the weed game at the company softball game where The Rocket Doug Wilson will debut his steroid enhanced abilities, nothing can go wrong there right?

We’re skipping a couple of episodes for time’s sake but all you have to know is that after almost an entire season of pursuing Cindy, Sam has finally started a relationship with her but it’s nothing like he expected. Over the course of this episode, he learns the hard way that the real Cindy is very different from the sweet and smiley girl he used to utter a few words to in the cafeteria.

Ken is also another character facing a relationship dilemma in this episode. Having served as the comic relief for much of the season, Seth Rogen finally gets to shine in a storyline that requires him to be serious and dedicate some deep thought to his relationship with Amy after she confesses an important secret.
