Recently we learned how Brisco Sr wanted a better life for junior and made sure he had a good education, then last week we got to see Brisco apply that Harvard law.  Can a character be anymore well-rounded than Brisco?  Does he have any skeletons that he can’t overcome?

Let’s take a small second to relax at a saloon and have a drink.  Hey sheriff, don’t you think you’ve had enough?  Sorry, I’ll mind my own business.  By the way, may I mention what a sweet looking daughter you have.  Uh oh sheriff, you don’t seem to like this man much and vice versa.  I’m gonna stand back while you handle things.  Ouch. Eeeeeh. Wow. Clobber-rooney! Well, it’s nice to have you back home, Brisco. And good to see Bowler, too.

Big Brother – Recap & Review – Week 5 Veto Competition & Ceremony

Week 5 Veto Competition & Ceremony

Well, folks, we’re halfway through the season, and I’m afraid the stress of the game is finally making our Big Brother houseguests crack. Jeff thinks he’s fighting in Vietnam and is prepared for death in battle. Kalia cries no less than 22 times. Adam has some form of BB perseveration where he can only say “I need to prove I’m a competitor” over and over again. Lawon volunteers for eviction (eviction, not nomination!). Shelly declines an invitation to make out with Jeff. And Rachel runs around the house screaming like a banshee. At least one houseguest is behaving normally…

So You Think You Can Dance
Top 4 Perform

Original Air Date: Aug 10, 2011

This is it!! The final four perform and then we have a Season 8 winner!! I think the sure money is on Melanie, but I’m not convinced she’ll take the top spot. It’s almost anyone’s competition to win at this point. Doesn’t Cat look darling?

On the judging panel, Kenny Ortega (movies) and Katie Holmes (big famous superstar). I’m not a huge fan of Katies, but right now it’d be pretty hard to make me upset, it’s the finale!

Lopez Tonight Canceled

MjL – TwoCents News Editor
MjL@thetwocentscorp.com

After agreeing to move to a later time slot to allow Conan O’Brien to join the TBS network, Lopez Tonight has been canceled effective immediately.

In November 2010, Lopez Tonight moved back an hour to make room for Conan. Nielsen ratings started strong for the show in its new time slot (883,000 for adults 18-49), but eventually plummeted. Ratings for last week’s episodes averaged around 0.2 (262,000) for 18-49 adults.

Two things have been hanging over Veronica this season. One is who killed Lilly Kane. The other is what the hell happened to her at Shelly Pomeroy’s party at the end of the school year. She knows she was drugged and she woke up the next morning in a bed in the guest room with her underwear on the floor. This episode clears up what happened that night.

I have to admit, I was going to choose another Sorkin favorite episode of mine for this week, “Holy Night,” but feel I’ve bored you with enough holiday episodes for one summer and instead stumbled upon this one in season four that I happen to love. Why?

It has a debate, which really showcases more of President Bartlet’s speaking prowess. We are introduced to a new character that I just absolutely adore and reminds us that yes, these might be individuals doing serious stuff, but you have to have some fun, too. It also sets up something for the rest of the season and series that I won’t mention here if you haven’t read/seen it already.

The Nine Lives of Chloe King – Recap & Review – Responsible

The Nine Lives of Chloe King
Responsible

Original Air Date: Aug 9, 2011

Melanie – TwoCents Reviewer

With only one more episode left, I’m suprised they chose to make this an episode dealing with a main plot outside of the Mai arc, although there were periphery storylines that advanced it somewhat. At least we got what seems to be a decent advance on the Chloe/Alek relationship. And they were built well into the main storyline dealing with a new character who will probably be a one time guest.

But just because it wasn’t a Mai-centric episode doesn’t mean it wasn’t a thriller. Once again Chloe finds herself drawn to helping where she maybe doesn’t belong (as in, it’s not the safest) but where she feels responsible for partly causing the situation. What did she do this time?

Emily – TwoCents Reviewer

This week’s Pretty Little Liars kind of felt like filler, right? At this point in the show, every time the girls suspect someone, it turns out to be wrong. So, guess who I think is not guilty? Jason. Although, that was one creepy garage!

In other news, Aria is majorly confused, Emily lies and lies again; Spencer should consider decaf and Hanna got me to tear up a little bit…

White Collar – Recap & Review – Countdown

White Collar
Countdown

Original Air Date: Aug 9, 2011

Jules – Sr. Reviewer

My heart is still pounding after watching White Collar’s summer finale. What a rush! This show is never shy with jaw-dropping finales, from Kate’s plane blowing up and then Mozzie being shot, and this one just follows in that trend. With the Degas sold last week, Mozzie and Neal must do their part to get it back, while staying one step ahead of the FBI. All the while, Neal must also decide where his allegiance lies.

Speaking of lies, it’s an episode filled with them. So let’s not waste any time and dive in.
