photo: shout factory

This Summer, loyal fans and collectors can finally bring home one of the most enduring animated adventures from the 80’s as the long-awaited M.A.S.K.: The Complete Original Series DVD box set from Shout! Factory, in collaboration with FremantleMedia Enterprises is here.

I could not be happier. Along with He-Man, Thundercats and Silverhawks, M.A.S.K. was a huge part of my childhood with my little brother. The two of us have watched every episode 100 times and had ALL the toys. I was always jealous he had the jeep that shot out a boat. Some people may not know M.A.S.K. but we sure do!

Burn Notice – Recap & Review – Hard Out

Burn Notice
Hard Out

I was really excited about this episode because I was expecting soap drama-esque tension between Michael and Fiona when her ex-boyfriend, the ridiculously named Armand played by Mr Gwen Stefani (aka Gavin Rossdale), swings into Miami. Alas Kristy you misled me. This episode instead showed us how to survive on an island, and the unparalled ability of Michael Westen to perform the spy version of a Jedi mind trick. Seriously, I’m still wondering how he managed to avoid certain death here.

Intrigued? Read on after the jump!

Michael, the accountant, is back to berating his family about spending. Lucille has hired a crew for the yacht Michael is selling so she can throw herself a lavish birthday party. GOB is living on the yacht to avoid Marta, which makes it a bit hard to sell it. Lindsey makes a BS speech about honoring your parents, and how she wants to throw Lucille a surprise party, and Michael cottons on to the fact that it was Lucille’s idea in the first place.

So You Think You Can Dance
Winner Revealed

It’s final finale night and Season 8 winner will be announced. I think we all expect Melanie to win, but I’m not convinced it will go that way in the end. I mean she’s adorable and fantastic and perfect, but come on! First we have to get through all the dancing and fingernail biting.

To start off we have a gritty contemporary routine with the top 20, in which the final four don’t make an appearance until the very end. Cat Deeley looks gorgeous in her red sparkles, and that open back! Ooolala, if only we could see it without her mic packs.

And so we continue ongoing sagas of KEnna, CAke, EClare, and…. SavO? In all the worlds of Degrassi couplings, the last one is the newest possibility and perhaps the strangest?

But was it just me or was there an energy level lacking with this season’s mid-point pair of episodes? We’ve got our usual triple story, but I’m longing for a little levity to arrive. What do you think?

Sorry about missing last week. While I was super excited about the beginning of Tommy’s 9/11 interview fallout, the episode actually let me down a bit. Maybe it’s just me. In a totally unrelated note, is anyone even following me?? I feel like I write these for my own good nowadays. It’s as if people forgot there was a season.

Anyhoo, last week Tommy finished giving his interview for the Jimmy documentary which went totally in the wrong direction thanks to the skeezy reporter. It caused a major riff in the house between Franco, Needles and Tommy. In the end, Franco decided he was going to take over the house and went to Feinberg to help him become a Lieutenant. If you didn’t see the episode, find the scene where Franco and Needles go at each other. Daniel Sunjata and Adam Ferrara have never been better.
