Jim is taking time off from Athlead to spend more time with Pam. The guys in Philly are going a little crazy. Pam is loving having him home.

Andy talks with Jim. Jim sagely tells Andy that you can’t give 100% to two things at once. Andy can never remember if he’s wearing his stage makeup or his work makeup, so clearly something has to give. Angela rolls into work with disheveled hair, no makeup, and a sweater covered in cat fur. The county took two sacks of her cats because her apartment complex has rules about how many animals you can have in a studio. She is distraught.  There’s a lot of stress in this office lately.

Top 4 Again Results

A combined 81 million votes. Four of the best singers on Idol. A two-week delay on narrowing it down to the Final 3. The stakes were high this week because the Final 3 all get the big parade and hometown visit. Who wouldn’t want that?

The evening started with the Top 4 singing “Crazy in Love” from the new film “The Great Gatsby” (in fact, much of the evening felt like a long commercial for the movie, with three of the four performances songs from the film).

But, as always, we started off with a feature I like to call…

With only two episodes remaining in season nine (after this one), I had a feeling tonight would be a bit lackluster. And in some ways, it kind of was. But then we got Derek Shepherd in a tiara and I loved the hour just for that.

We had three patient of the weeks, a baby used just to introduce a new doctor, and a medical crisis for Ethan. Add to that, the ongoing care of Ethan’s father and Bailey’s crisis over last week’s MRSA diagnosis and it was a very heavy medical terminology episode.

A lot is on the line this week. Not only will the person leaving the show Thursday not be in the Top 3, but she misses out on the hometown visits, usually complete with parades and concerts. So the contestants strove to do their very best. Some did, others didn’t.

Each sang a song from two themes: Songs From 2013 and Standards. As a mentor, they had Harry Connick Jr., who especially brings an expertise in standards. I really liked how he spoke his mind, including coming down hard on several performers. Which ones? Read on…

We all lie – to other people, to ourselves. It’s part of life – no one tells the truth all the time. Let’s see how our funny-family fibs to each other.

In the Pritchett-Tucker household, Cam accidentally places a hundred dollar bill in lieu of a five dollar bill as the Tooth Fairy. Lily is ecstatic! She can’t wait to tell the kids at school – the parents are going to flip!! Ha!

Previously on NCIS: Ziva went to Berlin to find her father’s killer, Ilan Bodnar. She took DiNozzo and together they uncovered Bodnar’s diamond smuggling scheme, but his brother Yaniv was sent to collect the diamonds instead. Ziva and Tony arrested Yaniv and were in their car, about to return the diamonds to custody when an SUV suddenly smacked into them.

It’s Ilan himself, and Ziva is conscious enough to see him reach in and take the diamonds, but she has badly hurt her arm and can’t stop him. She does have the presence of mind to get the license plate of the getaway car, which leads NCIS to a secluded house, the dead getaway driver inside.

Traumatic Wound

Caitlin – Senior Staff Writer

PTSD among soldiers is a very relevant issue these days, but it’s not exactly the subject matter the SVU typically investigates. Still, there are few topics the writers can’t tie into sexual assault in one war or another, usually with emotional results.

Two girls go to a warehouse concert, filled with people packed in like sardines. Suddenly, one is pushed to the ground and raped by several men. Her friend and boyfriend try to help, but are unable to reach her through the crowd.
