Holy Salt Water! – Supernatural Mondays – 5 Female Crossovers

Alyssa Silva – Sr Reviewer
alyssa@thetwocentscorp.com

Sometimes you watch a show and you can’t help but think how a character from another show might fit in. Supernatural is no different. When I see Dean decapitate a vampire, I wonder what Buffy would think of his methods. Or what the boys would make of Harry Potter if they ever crossed wands – or wand and salt bullet to be precise. These next two weeks I’m going to present a list, in no particular order, of characters from across the TV realm that I think would fit in well with the Winchester universe. Let my imagination kick into overdrive if you will. To start off, why don’t we let the ladies go first?

Haven

Cheryl – TwoCents Reviewer
cheryl@thetwocentscorp.com

The series’ big mysteries take a break this week as Audrey tries to discover why she is living the same day over and over again. She’s the only one who can fix it even though that means having to watch her friends die.

In a somewhat morbid twist, Audrey experiences Nathan’s second favorite Bill Murray movie.

KPonTV on 2011 Emmy Picks – Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy

emmy picks: supporting actor drama

Every year I attempt to predict the Emmys. I’m usually wrong. How wrong? If I was a weather man, I’d predict snow in July.

However, I’m a self-proclaimed TV critic and thus, it’s in my mental contract with myself to try to predict the winners. I am fortunate enough to have seen at least SOME of the episodes of most of the nominated shows and can speak pretty well on most of the actors. So, let’s see if my predictions can hold any water this year. (I wouldn’t hold your breath.)

In any case, I hope I can start a debate with you all and we can discuss the possible winners in the comments below. Here we go!

Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series

2010 Winner: Edie Falco, Nurse Jackie

Alyssa Silva – Sr Reviewer

Jesse gets to take the reins this week as he and Fi team up to help a burglar, while Mike and Sam hunt down the lead provided to them by Armand last week. There’s vast amounts of property destruction, an ingenious magic trick, and Jeffrey Donovan bringing a little bit of Touching Evil back to our television screens.

What do I mean? Read on after the jump to find out!

Now that is more like it! After this week’s first two episodes failed to truly engage, we return to stronger form tonight with more drama, more meltdowns, and more … well… drugs.

So were you on board for this two-parter? I have a feeling by the end of this recap/review, there may be some unhappy couple ‘shippers. So once you’ve seen what I had to say, head to the comments section and share your TwoCents with me!

The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. – Summer DVD Review – Deep in the Heart of Dixie

Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.
Deep in the Heart of Dixie

Original Air Date: Nov 5, 1993

Welcome to the final entry of the summer DVD club for Brisco County Jr.  If you’ve read these, thank you for your time.  If not, then why are you joining me on my last one. Go get the others read before this one, silly.  Brisco has been making headway trying to return Bly’s gang to the swift hand of justice.  He’s also made many new friends and resolved issues from his past.

One of his “friends” has been the lovely Dixie Cousins, the femme fatale of the Wild West.  She’s been both compatriot and antagonist to Brisco’s efforts, but usually ends up in his good graces.  This week she needs him more than ever.  For the last time this summer Regu-watchers, let’s saddle up. This is it! The murder is solved! Who killed Lilly Kane? What about the Mars family? Will Keith and Lianne get back together permanently? Will Veronica burn alive in a refrigerator? (Just wait for it.) This episode is a wild ride, so settle in.
