More than 1,000 people from around the world have joined a popular new campaign on Change.org calling on E! Entertainment’s hit show Fashion Police to end a segment titled “Starlet or Streetwalker”, which mocks and derides women and girls in the commercial sex industry.

“Starlet or Streetwalker” features a panel of celebrities who laugh at photos of scantily clad women and girls as they try to guess whether they are Hollywood stars or prostituted women.

leticia@thetwocentscorp.com

On September 1st at 9 pm, Nickelodeon will premiere their commercial free special on Nick News With Linda Ellerbe entitled What Happened?: The Story of September 11, 2001. This show will help shine a light on the facts and inform kids on the importance of the events of 9/11.

Being the 10th anniversary of the attacks, Nick thinks it is important to teach kids that do not have a first hand recollection of how the events occurred and clear up any misconceptions or unanswered questions they may have. Alongside the program there will also be an online guide provided by the APA and Nick that will ease the ability for parents to talk their children about the attacks.

Will – Sr. Reviewer

On this episode of The Closer, we saw some major action! I was on the edge of my seat throughout the hour and the ending was very unexpected. This week we also have the return of Captain Raydor. I know there are some mixed opinions about her and what she really is investigating but Brenda and her team are fully against her.

When is a job not a job? When the crew has no intention of getting involved… and then they do.

The team has just flown in from another job, all squabbling about who had it the worst, when Nate spies a drop off. He quickly realizes that the nurse involved is doing so under duress. Turns out, she had to give a heart she was transporting to some mysterious stranger because they’d taken her daughter.

True Blood

Meg – Staff Writer
meg@thetwocentscorp.com

True Blood has a curious identity crisis this week, as the episode splits time between a Victoria’s Secret ad and a rerun of Ghost Whisperer. In a completely separate storyline, Marntonia gets (more) ruthless in her anti-vampire vendetta, Alcide saves a Mikkens, and Jessica and Jason finally get together.

Sorry for the delay. I was away for the weekend. I can’t believe it took me two days to find out what happened on this awesome episode of Entourage! Talk about drama!!

This week, Vince as an interview with Vanity Fair, E gets a call from Sloan’s stepmother (the beautiful Melinda Clarke), Dice’s absence forces Johnny to make a decision about the future of his show, Ari’s wife takes a bold step (and he takes a new one himself) and Shauna makes an appearance! Fhew, that’s a lot.

Cornered

If there’s nothing else in a man’s life he controls, then let him control the safety of his family. That’s a proverb I just made up to start this out. Walt has been trying desperately this season to gain the control he had as Heisenberg and every effort to keep his ground proves fruitless.

Gus has him locked down, Jesse is no longer under his wing and Walt can’t even handle his own money – Skyler’s got that one covered. I am starting to fear that Heisenberg will be relegated to lore and legend, never to be seen again…

Eureka
Clash of the Titans

Original Air Date: Aug 22, 2011

The quest to Titan continues! Now that Holly and Doug have been on a date, the shameless (and distracting) flirting continues…in the simulation chamber that is. Think of the Star Trek Holodeck and you get the idea. That is, if you’re as big as a nerd as I am. (wink wink to Wil Wheaton!)

In the relatively human realm of Eureka Henry and Grace are getting married (this time in Henry’s timeline) and Jack & Allison’s relationship has received a red flag from GD corporate brass. I mean, can you blame them? With Allison going rogue and Jack…well…being Jack? God I love this town.
