It’s evident that the show is gearing up for next week’s season finale. The stakes are higher, tension is mounting, mysteries are deepened, and I like it!

The town is at odds. Many in the town are outraged over the Rev’s death and want the troubled to pay for their crimes. The troubled are worried for their lives and plan a meeting to discuss how to protect each other. Vince accuses Dave of trying to start a war, Nathan tries to be the peacemaker, and Audrey pursues what she believes is her true calling.

Supernatural – Recap & Review – Meet the New Boss

If you’ve been saying ‘Oh my God’ during this hellatus, you need to come correct. A young, sexy, raincoat-wearing man has taken his place and the Winchesters find themselves confronted with a former friend who seeks obedience rather than deliverance. In my review for the Season 6 finale I mentioned that W.H. Auden once wrote that Evil is inferior to Good in one thing – Good can always imagine the possibility of being Evil, but Evil has already chosen and can never achieve the same. There was an uproar amongst the fandom that Castiel had his character assassinated last season. Did this prove true? Or did the Good that resides within Castiel prove enough to redeem him?

Read on after the jump to find out!

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia – Recap & Review – The Gang Goes To The Jersey Shore

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia
The Gang Goes To The Jersey Shore

You would think that when a show like Sunny does a parody of Jersey Shore, it would be completely anti-guido and have characters like Snooki or the Situation, right? That couldn’t be any further from what our gang does in this episode. I found this week much better than the premiere and the 80s montage towards the end will go down in history as one of the best montages ever. Ever. Seriously.

Dee and Dennis (D&D) come across Mac and Charlie watching Frank burn things in a barrel behind the bar. They are appalled when they realize that he is burning their childhood pictures of trips to the Jersey Shore. They loved it there, it was their happy magical place. Since Charlie has never seen the ocean and our gang is always up for a road trip, they knock Charlie out, load up the Land Rover, and head for the beach. Let’s just say things don’t quite go according to plan…

The first thing I need to do here is be honest. I was in serious financial straits last season and spent most of it without cable, so while I saw the first two seasons, I had to have a cram session for last season before I could start writing this. So if I miss something from last season, do go ahead and tell me, but please don’t be too harsh.

That said, the fourth season opened with the same startling moment that last season ended with – Patrick Jane very calmly shooting Red John and casually sitting down to finish his tea as frantic patrons flee around him. Only now, we get to move forward again and answer the question that they left most of us the whole summer to stew about. Did Jane just kill his nemesis, Red John?

Two episodes in one night! How exciting is that? And with the tension and angst nicely resolved in the first episode, we can just go back to having our usual, geeky fun.

We start out with Sheldon mocking Leonard’s attempt to maintain a relationship with Priya in India with their “dinfast” and lamenting the days when Leonard’s girlfriends “could be returned to the video store”. I have to confess, I didn’t realize until I poked around online that “dinfast” is a joke kind of meal – defined as whatever you want to eat, as long as it’s between 2am and 5am. That, and something about alcohol and kabobs. When he’s done, Sheldon gives them some privacy by going to Penny’s where he discovers her new chair – or is it new?

Of all the shows, on all the networks, this was the season premiere I was anticipating the most and I’m beyond excited to be sharing my current favorite show with everyone! I, sadly, spent half of last season without cable – but I still saw most of “Big Bang”, and I even know the WHOLE theme song!

So, now that I’m done gushing – let’s move on to what we’ve all been wondering all summer. Penny and Raj – we know they were drunk. We know they woke up in Leonard’s bed together. What we don’t know, and it seems Penny doesn’t either, is if they had sex…..

Hey everyone!  I’ll be your new Community recapper for the forseeable future.  Everyone comfortable?  Got your Troy and Abed in the morning mugs?  I know I’ve got mine.  I’m so happy to be able to recap this show for you guys because I love it so much.  I really believe this is one of the best shows on TV.  Hope I can do it justice for you.

The opening is a Glee parody with the group singing.  The writers on this show hate Glee so much, don’t they?  Almost as much as they hate The Big Bang Theory, I think. I really loved this sequence because Dean Pelton and Shirley are wearing the same sequined diva dress.  I love me some Dean Pelton. By the way, that was all a Jeff daydream.  His subconscious was “Glee-ful” Pierce is out of the study group.

“The machine is everywhere. Watching us with 10,000 eyes. Listening with a million ears.”

So explains the mysterious Finch (Michael Emerson) in CBS’ new drama Person of Interest. The machine to which he refers is not any particular device, but the extensive system of surveillance in the post-9/11 world. Traffic light cameras, smart phones with GPS capability, wireless cameras that can be practically invisible to the naked eye – all of these have become our new reality in the last decade.

In the weeks leading up to the premiere, promos for the show posed the question, “Ever think you’re being watched?” After an entertaining and engaging pilot episode, it seems the more apt question is, “Do you know who’s watching you?”

Welcome back, everyone! I tried to avoid a lot of spoilers this summer so I was under the impression that James Spader’s “Robert California” was to be the new manager at Dunder Mifflin Sabre. Looks like I was mistaken.

Let’s just go ahead and dive right in so we can find out who it is, shall we?
