High-tech spa? Where do I sign in? Actually, scratch that, I think I prefer to stay around for a little while longer on this timeline, you know, enjoying quality TV shows such as… Mmmh, I would say Terra Nova but to be very honest, I am still not sure whether I love it, hate it or simply believe it to be watchable.

Feels a bit like Jurassic Park met Lost and had a baby whose favorite book happens to be “Lord of the Flies”.
Still, who doesn’t enjoy a little time travelling experience? Hop in.

Well this was it, the season finale. I loved it! If you saw this ending coming, then you are more intuitive than me. I was lulled into such a sense that everything finally was going to be worked out right, that finally everything would be successfully resolved, I didn’t see the new conflict coming. I wanted everything to end well, but this is Weeds, and we all know that just as soon as something is solved, a new issue replaces it.

So what had me shrieking WOW at the end of this season? Continue reading

Hawaii Five-O – Recap & Review – Ua Lawe Wale

So there is this paddle-board competition and a cute little 15 year-old girl named Jen Hassley wins. When she doesn’t show up to collect her trophy, her mom checks the changing tent… and sees her daughter being kidnapped. Worst. Nightmare.

Five-O is called in to investigate and we meet a new member of the team. Remember when the new governor said there would be repercussions if McGarrett stepped out of line? Apparently, letting Will Ling go to bait Wo Fat constituted a repercussion in the form of Officer Lori Weston (Lauren German). Lori has great credentials (Homeland Security anyone?) and should fit in well with the group, but both she and McGarrett are angry with the situation. She feels like a babysitter and he feels like he’s being babysat.

Last week we said goodbye to Charlie and hello to Walden, aka Hottie McAshton. It was an okay episode that introduced us to Internet billionaire Walden, who stumbled into the Harper house after a failed suicide attempt in the super cold ocean after being dumped by his wife. After showing him a good night out, Walden bought Charlie’s house.

This week is the continuation of the introduction. Would he let Alan stay? Why or how would he let him stay? What about Berta? And where the heck is Jake (besides walking in on naked Walden hugging Alan…). That’s what tonight is all about!

God, it’s good to be back! I didn’t realize how much I missed Gossip Girl until I saw Chuck Bass riding on his fancy new motorcycle. Oh my.

I have to say, this episode felt to me like old-school Gossip Girl: there was laughter, craziness, backstabbing and of course, a good old love triangle. What else could we want? Oh yeah, the possible return of Dair…It is on!

It’s my favorite week of performances! Tonight’s dances are jive and quick step – my two favorites.

After week one my favorite is definitely J.R. Martinez. He’s got a great story, a great sense of humor and he did so well last week. Let’s see if he can keep it up this week. Read on to find out how everyone did.

When I heard Hart of Dixie touted as a return to classic WB programming and a cross between Gilmore Girls and Doc Hollywood, I was in! I spent a lot of time in college watching the WB and reliving my high school years vicariously through Pacey, Joey, and company.

Did this fish out of water story about a New York City doctor who moves to a small town in Alabama after her life doesn’t turn out as she planned live up to the hype? Read on to find out!

There are enough Kick-Ass and Spiderman references in this episode to satisfy any comic book enthusiast.

Thankfully, the episode is less than predictable if you think you know who dunnit.

Last week, Victoria walked back into the show after so many years of there never quite being closure between her and Ted. We got closure of a sort tonight, but it wasn’t quite what I was expecting.

Besides that drama, the rest of the episode was mostly composed of knife twirling, pregnancy boobs, and manipulation worthy of Ivan Pavlov. All in all, the kinds of things we’ve come to expect from this show.

The Good Wife – Recap & Review – A New Day

The Good Wife
A New Day

Original Air Date: Sep 25, 2011

Patricia Morris Buckley — Sr. Staff Writer
pmb@thetwocentscorp.com

When Alicia walks into Lockhart/Gardner with a huge smile on her face, we know what it really means: She’s getting some. And by some, I mean Will!

Perhaps the Good Wife isn’t that good anymore. But that joy only lasts so long as Alicia is assigned a case defending a Muslim student who has been accused of starting a campus riot during a peace rally. The DA (you remember him? Peter, Alicia’s estranged hubbie?) is prosecuting it as a hate crime. Pretty harsh. Especially when her client wasn’t even at the rally.
