It’s week 3 – Story Night! Or as they’re calling it this go-round: Most Memorable Year! The celebrities told the story of their memorable year and they also got to choose the song. It’s also the night of too many rumbas (my least favorite).

Additionally, a night where Brooke still annoys me with her questions (I just realized that she’s now Brooke Burke-Charvet. Has it been like that all season?), Len leaves his crankypants at home, and we see the first 9s of the season. Who gets them? Read on to find out!

Two And A Half Men – Recap & Review – Big Girls Don’t Throw Dog Food

Sometimes I wonder if Two and a Half Men isn’t a stepping stone for an actor’s life to become a tabloid cover. First there was Charlie Sheen, then Jon Cryer’s divorce and stalker and now Ashton Kutcher’s possible divorce. But it also makes for great material for the show, so I suppose somewhere Chuck Lorre is smiling!

No matter what’s happening outside of Walden’s fictional Malibu Beach house, the cast is slowly finding its way. Remember that kid, Jake, whom everyone has seemed to forget? Well don’t fear! This week is all about Jake (and a bit about Walden and Alan…) when he gets some “words of wisdom” from Walden. Judith comes around too and, well, read on to see what made me go “COME ON!”

They knocked at nature’s door and instead of waiting for nature to open it, they just barged in. Would you expect a warm welcome? I certainly wouldn’t stay around to figure out the answer to that. But hey, they got an one-way ticket to paradise… now they just have to wait and make sure it doesn’t turn into a living hell. Again.

Guess what? There are new creatures on the block! And no, I am not talking about a new pilgrimage of settlers, I am actually talking about an interesting species of noisy birds. At first they seem rather innocent but don’t be deceived, they are here to take back what’s theirs. Confused? Don’t freak out just yet, but you might want to close your windows though… you know, just in case.

Before we get started on tonight’s episode, let’s do a quick recap of the last 2 episodes. Max is a waitress at a diner. Caroline is an heiress. Caroline’s dad gets arrested for a Ponzi scheme so Caroline loses her inheritance. Caroline now works at the diner with Max. Max feels bad for Caroline so she invites her (and her horse) to stay at her apartment.

They also agreed to work towards raising $250,000 to open a cupcake shop. And now you’re caught up, so let’s get to tonight’s episode.

How I Met Your Mother makes use of flashback a lot, and tonight it took up the majority of the episode. The whole thing was narrated for us in the present by Robin, sitting in the office of a therapist played by Kal Penn.

No, don’t worry. It’s all casual and her choice to go and express her feelings. Except that, actually, it’s court-ordered therapy because she attacked a woman in the street. So you probably should worry a bit.

Are Will and Alicia going to get caught being more than just colleagues? Of course they are, but this episode sure made it look as if it would sooner than later. Add in a little finger holding after a case or a planned quickie in Will’s office bathroom, and these two are really pushing their luck.

The case this week seemed to wrap up in the first few minutes. A British millionaire is suing a man whose book claims the millionaire took his brother’s oxygen tank on Everest, causing the brother to die. Alicia quickly gets it thrown out of court saying it’s not a criminal case.

Desperate Housewives – Recap & Review – Making the Connection

The ladies of Wisteria Lane are still dealing with keeping their dirty little secret, though most of them aren’t handling it too well.  Bree has been put on edge by the note she found in her mailbox:  “I know what you did.  It makes me sick.  I’m going to tell.”  If that sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the same letter Mary Alice received in season one right before she killed herself.  Will Bree go the same way?  It would be a weird sort of symmetry.

Bree’s first person of suspicion is Paul Young, whom she goes to visit in prison.  He didn’t write the note and they go through the list of people who knew about the original – problem is most of them are dead.  Paul is a little surprised when he finds out Bree hasn’t told her friends.  He wonders if life would have been much different had Mary Alice confided in anyone.

A penultimate episode in drama is the adrenaline builder of the finale. You know you’re mentally preparing for the emotional bungee jump ahead of you that’s the finale.  You’ve already moved the edge of the cliff of season to look down, and then the penultimate starts nudging you to the point that you reflexively start pulling yourself back doubting you’ll jump.  You might even at one point scold with something like “Knock it off, you’re messing with my concentration.”

This week, Heisenberg playfully nudged us a little.

After last week’s season premiere, I was pretty convinced that the Showgirls would be done. I also was convinced this season would be awesome with all the new twists (the Hazard? The Double elimination? What else could come?!). So far, I’m 50/50.

This week, we see the most confusing check in ever (get a pencil and paper to keep track!), the most childish case of adult sibling rivalry ever and the Survivors make a classic mistake.

And now … the top 11 things I learned from The Amazing Race – Season 19

If you need a refresher on where we left off, you can either click here or you can watch the first five minutes of the season six premiere. That was quite the “previously on” segment, although the lack of Julie Benz (Rita) sightings was a little jarring.

This season of Dexter is seemingly going to be about religious faith, its beliefs and symbolism. Luckily for those who aren’t familiar with those things, neither is Dexter. So let’s go forth and see what we can learn together.
