KPonTV on Chuck Season 4 on DVD

photo: wb

The “little show that could” is about to bow for it’s 5th and final season. Chuck only has 13 episodes left on NBC, but you can catch up on Season 4 on DVD and Blu-ray starting on October 11th from Warner Home Video.

I was able to preview this release and it’s always fun to catch up on what Chuck and the gang are doing. Add in KPonTV favorite bloopers and a cool mini-series about Jeffster and you’re going to enjoy this package.

The low down

This was an interesting episode that seemed to lay the foundation for changes that will come down the road. For instance, a few people are starting to think about how to deal with Ozzy. It was also great because Dawn, of all people, came forward and won a challenge because of her physical strength. Brandon continues to break down and unravel emotionally.

Are you ready for a lot more of Jess? She got picked up, so we’ve got a whole season of zany ahead of us. I’m cautiously optimistic. And this episode has a good starting point, Jess gets to be Nicks slutty date to a wedding. And she is under strict instructions to not be herself.

Awesome guys. Way to be cool…

Every family needs a family vehicle; one that puts safety over style and holds lots of cargo for vacations. Tonight, Reagan and Chris look for theirs. You’d think they’d have done so before Amy was born, but hey, then we wouldn’t get to watch.

How do they come to this decision in the first place? By trying to go to the beach while fitting baby things into Reagan’s car. It does not go well and the neighbors are not helpful. Admittedly, they did almost forget their child.

We start with a man engaged in a rather frustrated phone call with his wife. Then he starts another phone call claiming how he’s finished, he can’t do it any more.

It’s a very vague phone call. Where there is mystery there is death, and the guy is shot in the head from a distance. The strange thing is that the victim has Timothy’s card on him!

A young child is kidnapped. It’s every parent’s nightmare. But in this case, it’s not only the child that becomes the victim. It’s compounded with the death of the child’s nanny, Helen, who was trying to save the child.

During the examination of the body, there are signs of abuse. The couple that she worked for was interviewed as well as her friends. Her friends were the ones that told the police that the boyfriend, whom she had been with for a long time, had a tendency to abuse her as she would occasionally show up with bruises. Helen had a good heart and saw the good in people. But a man who abuses, doesn’t have a good heart, don’t you agree?

It’s NFL week on the Biggest Loser Ranch and all sorts of NFL pros come out of the woodwork. The blue team is down to just 3 people, do you think they can avoid dropping it down to 2? And can someone besides Black win the weigh in? Tonight we get answers to all these questions and more. We open on Anna meeting with her blue team. They decide to regroup and move forward as a strong, committed team.

Are you ready for some football? We waste no time in getting into the first challenge. The teams are all taken to a football field where there are cardboard cutouts for each of them with a net attached. Their cutouts are targets and the others have to throw footballs from the 3rd yard line into the nets. If they get in the nets, that person is eliminated. The last cutout standing wins $5000. But wait…there’s more.

It’s Gonna Kill Me, But I’ll Do It

I am in fear for my show. This episode was awesome in my eyes, the best yet of the season. But the ratings tanked a little bit. I’m not happy about that. I hope that the CW sticks it out and gives the show a chance. Sarah deserves it. I am so happy that she’s back on television, and I don’t want it to end. I know that I can get annoyingly swoony over her, but I’m like that with any of the Buffy stars. I’m watching Free Agents for Anthony Stewart Head…and that show is awful. I’m very loyal and I don’t want to see another good show go down the tubes too quickly.

That being said, I can’t understand why the ratings dropped so much. This really was the best episode of the season so far. Lots of action and a healthy amount of both Bridget and Siobhan. We open on Andrew confronting “Siobhan” with Bridget’s things and a zombie Siobhan. It was obvious this was a dream, a nightmare for Bridget. She wakes up and talks with Andrew and they decide to head to the Hamptons for her birthday. This will be interesting!
