Band of Skulls “Death by Diamond and Pearls” plays as a sexy blonde woman gets dressed, ready to “tame some stallions” with her sexy brunette sister. Meanwhile, Danny is debriefing his army of cops about the car thefts. He’s out scouting parking garages with one of his sexy female cops, when they find the red Ferrari stolen. He opens the drunk… to find the corpse of the blonde woman inside!

The CSI team arrives to process the scene. White power is found inside the car. Fingerprints are taken from inside the car. A smashed electronic device is found outside. Other evidence is derived from the body. Sid struggles to come up with COD though. Apart from some minor bruising on her abdomen and on the outside of one of her thighs, Sid can’t find anything wrong.

First things first, I want to apologize for taking so long to finish this review. I had planned on writing it after the episode aired, but it left me speechless and breathless. Wasn’t it intense? Anyway, enough delays! Here we go!
“Welcome to the future”, said Adam Worth at some point during this episode. Even though his voice tone was everything but welcoming, allow me to quote him and proudly take his words out of context.

Last season, and forgive me the rather apocalyptic way of putting it, we witnessed the beginning of the end. Hollow Earth, the hope of a humankind still not aware of its existence, was destroyed. Its population, mostly creatures that we know as abnormals, came to the surface in search of shelter. Instead, they found themselves amongst the known pattern of normality, human beings that seemed to fear their differences, their powers. Having the option of going back home out of the picture, there was only one thing left to do… fight for a new one.

But what made hell break loose in the first place? Pack your bags, we are going on a field trip!

Fringe – Recap & Review – Alone in the World

First of all, if you are being chased by bullies, don’t run into an underground labyrinth of utility tunnels because what you find in there may be worse than the bullies (Pennywise, anyone?). Second… there really isn’t a ‘second.’ I’m still freaked out by the possibility of Pennywise showing up and eating my face off.

It’s time for Walter’s monthly evaluation with Dr. Sumner, Walter’s doctor from St. Claire’s (whom we haven’t see since season one… unless you watch Hawaii Five-O…). Sumner is concerned, mostly about Walter’s general well-being, but more specifically about Walter’s recent hallucinations and why he has covered every reflective surface in the lab. Walter says it’s an experiment and that the hallucinations are cause by a little bit of ‘self-medicating.’ There is nothing to worry about. He’s not going crazy at all.

Blue Bloods – Recap & Review – Critical Condition

Every week, Blue Bloods sucks me in and I love it. I always feel like I could write a novel about what happened because it’s so riveting. But this week, despite being a great episode, I find myself struggling to put a review (and a recap) together.

However, I am going to try.

In non-Danny news, Jamie has a new partner. She’s a tough chick who is ready to arrest anyone and everyone. Jamie is the level-headed one in this partnership and when Jamie needs her to be tough, she has his back. They have a history though and she asks about his marriage. Goodness I hope this doesn’t get romantic!

Jensen Ackles returns to the director’s chair in an episode that pulled things away from the Leviathan to give us a glimpse into Sam’s past.

The sepia-tinged memories of a kitsune hunt helped evolve Sam’s fight with reality, only for Dean to shatter the brotherly love built up last week with his actions at the end. What did our older Winchester do? Read on after the jump to find out!

A Gifted Man – Recap & Review – In Case of Discomfort

When the pilot for “A Gifted Man” aired two weeks ago, I thought it was really well made. The direction by Jonathan Demme on the pilot was exquisite and the writing was quite good…then the second episode aired. The second episode sadly solidified what I thought the show would become: another boring medical procedural. Was the second episode of the show just a fluke for a promising new series?

Sadly, it wasn’t. It isn’t that the show is extremely boring or badly written; the show is just sort of basic. It doesn’t veer off the path of a procedural and dig into the personal lives of its characters, it just tells medical stories we’ve seen before on better shows. I was hoping the show would be better than this.

How to Be A Gentleman – Recap & Review – How to Have A One-Night Stand

How to Be A Gentleman
How to Have A One-Night Stand

Original Air Date: Oct 6, 2011

Jeff L – Staff Writer
jeffl@thetwocentscorp.com

The Gentleman readies himself for the morning paper – already dressed in his blazer and tie – when Drama comes knocking. It’s 6:30 in the morning and it’s time for Drama to begin training his newest protégé. He’s decided it would be best to move in with the Gentleman in order for his training to be most effective. The Gentleman balks at the idea, but once Drama convinces him he’ll be able to meet and possibly sleep with some actual women, the Gentleman agrees.

Over in the b-story, Murray and Chloe have been contacted by the Department of Homeland Security for an interview to ensure their marriage is real and not just a “green card marriage.” Does this kind of thing happen in the real world? It seems like something you only see on tv. Murray is worried he’s going to be deported because apparently Chloe doesn’t test well. She never has.

What Is It About Men?

Colleen – TwoCents Reviewer
colleen@thetwocentscorp.com

What IS it about men? That’s what I would like to know! It’s well known that the female and male brains are different and we are wired differently. We all have different priorities and react differently to situations.

We begin tonight’s episode with Meredith and Derek lying in bed. Meredith has given up Neurosurgery, and wants to talk about Derek’s cases, but Derek doesn’t want to do this every day. I can’t blame him. The same conversation day after day, after day does get old, don’t you think? Derek and Meredith aren’t the only ones with the same issue as we see with some of the other men from Seattle’s Grace Hospital.

We open this week with a missing child, Conner Flint, and it seems the kid’s mother, Elizabeth, was one of Jane’s clients back in the day and still believes he’s psychic. Furthermore, she has a new psychic in tow these days that’s obviously a fraud. Talk about literally confronting your past. Jane has a former client to confess to and a shallow imitation of himself to face off against. This could get interesting, no matter what happens with the missing kid.

So, as my fiance asked during the first commercial break, “How do you explain you’re a fraud and still be trusted as a member of law enforcement?”
