“We got a runner!” I heard that twice from Cam’s mouth in this episode and that is all you need to hear. This episode was absolutely fantastic! I loved it. In this episode, we see an even amount of all of the characters. Claire is still pissed off over the stop sign situation and decides to do something about it. Then we have Cameron and Mitchell involved in a hit and run.

Claire see’s Duane Bailey, the guy that turned down her stop sign proposal is running for re-election and Claire decides that she is going to run and beat him. Meanwhile, Jay is having problems at work with the new boss and Manny is having problems with school and he wants to be home schooled by Gloria. (Picture that for a second.)

After the last three exciting and action packed episodes, tonight was such a different tone. Tonight’s episode centers around important topics that are important to touch on, timely and newsworthy – teen suicide, gay bashing and cyber bullying. Both seem to be prevalent more in this day in age with cell phones, emails as well as social media outlets such as Facebook.

Today’s children have it so much more difficult and are “forced” by society to grow up much faster than in the past. Many of these things weren’t even around when I was a child.

It looks like the beginning of a trend – this weeks episode also starts with a murder from the past, this time in 1968. Apparently the house was being used as a boarding house for college girls, at least five anyway. The three clearly more popular girls leave to go to a Doors concert (frankly, I would have been going with them) and the other two are staying home. The ones leaving imply that they’re lesbians, but I think they were really just trying to insult them for being less attractive and wanting to stay home alone together. Either way – it turned out to be a bad idea when a strange man cons his way into the house, drowns the nurse then makes the other girl dress as a nurse too before hog-tying her and stabbing her to death.

Cut to the present and another session between Ben and Tate. Can you say uncomfortable?

PSAT’s! This was Frankie’s reaction to just finding out about the PSAT’s that Axl hasn’t studied for. This was a typical Axl moment and I loved every minute of it! It was one of those episodes that you could really relate to. We all have had that someone we know not study for an upcoming test but usually they are panicked. With Axl, he doesn’t seemed to worried about it. I would go crazy if I hadn’t studied!

Frankie learns about the PSAT’s from other mothers who’s son’s have been preparing for months. Frankie goes into college mode and wants Axl to do good on the test to go to college. She asks Axl what his goals are in life and he doesn’t have any. When I was his age, I had goals!

You may leave school, but it never leaves you.

High school alumni are returning to Boise, Idaho to remember the horrific high school massacre that took place ten years ago. Thirteen kids were killed including Randy Slade, who started the killing spree, which ended in a bomb explosion.

The Principal at the time is still working at the school, he put together a four-day event to commemorate the tragic event. On the eve before the first day he’s killed in his house with a bomb similar to the bomb which was used ten years ago. Garcia brings the case to the attention of the team. Rossi tells them that he and Hotch were there ten years ago. They had to physically drag the Principal away to keep him safe. He’s the one who kept the school going after the tragedy.

The low down

This was a decent episode. Some takes Coach down a peg, even if he isn’t around to hear it. Someone shakes up Ozzy, even if we won’t see the results until next week. Someone thinks strategically. Plus, not much screen time for Brandon.

Pre-credits

Stacey shows up at Redemption Island and discusses the how the tribal council went with Christine. Stacey is more than a little angry with Coach.

We’re really close now. Just five chestestants left at this point. That’s great because I’m getting tired of these people. To make it worse, the one person I kind of liked gets eliminated this episode.

Quickfire

Another guest judge I’ve heard of! That’s two weeks in a row! Francois Payard. He’s famous for his macarons (the French-style ones, not the ones that involve coconut).

They have to bake their very best pie but they only get to use one hand. The winner gets $5,000.

Here we go again fellow fans, another great installment in the story that moves us closer and closer to understanding the events of the flashforward in the pilot. For those of you who, like me, were wondering if the sudden arrival of Daniel’s college roommate might not be more than just a visit, this episode answers our concerns!

And for those who, like me, realized last week that Emily isn’t concerned with collateral damage to innocents in her plans, this week we feel somehow better after she gets her revenge on this target, even though there is collateral damage to innocents. So who is in for some payback this week?

TwoCents & Five Questions with Danny Devito

devito

Danny Devito, Actor

Unless you are one of those dudes from the Geico commercials and you live under a rock, you know who Danny Devito is. Back in the 70s, he got his start on television playing Louie DePalma, the uptight cab bookie on Taxi. He had already been in films such as One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. He’s gone on to star opposite such actors as Michael Keaton, Michael Douglas, Billy Crystal, Mark Wahlberg, Kathleen Turner, and even Arnold Schwarzenegger (who could forget Twins?). My personal favorite is Renaissance Man. These day’s he’s starring on FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He’s a New Jersey native who splits his time living between LA and Jersey. He is still married to Rhea Perlman (Carla on Cheers) and they have three kids. When I found out I had the opportunity to participate in a conference call with Danny, I was excited and extremely nervous. But he was very quick to calm me down.

TheTwoCents: I know a lot people wouldn’t fit into the show because of the crude humor and the dynamics of the group, but who would you feel would be your dream guest star, if you could pick anybody to fit in with you guys on it?

Psych – Recap & Review – Shawn Rescues Darth Vader

Shawn Rescues Darth Vader

I know, you know, that I’m not telling the truth. But I am telling the truth! I’m so happy that Psych is finally back after almost a year off the air. To remind everyone, we left off after the gang solved the Yin/Yang killer case and Lassie saw Shawn and Juliet kissing. Tonight we get to see the outcome of that and lots of Shawn doing his thing. Let’s jump right in!

We see a figure sneak into a party at a mansion, James Bond style. It’s Shawn, of course, and he is out to get a Darth Vader collectible back for a young client. After he wastes some time playing with the toys and raiding the mini-fridge, he finds the toy and sets out to getting out of there. A not so pleased Gus is waiting in the get-away Blueberry with the kid. Shawn almost gets caught and hides under the bed. With a dead body.
