I’ve found that I really look forward to the glimpses of the past that start each week’s episode; they’ve been a great incentive for changing the channel on time. This week’s step back to 1983 was especially satisfying since it was about Constance and Moira. I felt bad that Constance shot Moira, since she was resisting, at least this time, but from Constance’s comment to her husband that he’d “broken” her heart “for the last time”, it wasn’t really surprising. Poor Moira was apparently just the most recent in a string of women that he’d cheated on her with. Or was she just poor Moira? Given the rest of what’s been revealed about Constance’s life, this seems like a reflection of the Harmons’ situation now. A mother absorbed in the lives and/or deaths of her children, especially with special needs involved, and a father going elsewhere for what he’s not getting from his wife. He seems more of a sleaze than Ben though. Ben at least seems to love Vivien and felt guilty. Constance’s husband only seemed to feel bad that he got caught.

A closeup on Moira and we’re back in the present, as usual, and Ben and Vivien are having a discussion I saw coming last week.

I absolutely loved The Middle this week! I always say how good The Middle is but this gives you a 30 minute comedy relief. If you have had a hard day, this will make you smile when you see the Heck’s dishwasher leak gallons of water all over the floor.

This weeks episode starts off with the annual lawn mower race in the Hecks neighborhood where Frankie learns that a few of her neighbors have foreclosed on their house.

Harry’s Law – Recap & Review – Bad To Worse

Harry’s Law
Bad To Worse

Original Air Date: Oct 19, 2011

Tonight we see Harry enter the firm office with a major hangover. She doesn’t care about anyone or anything. Well, other than asking Tommy “what was in that Scotch?” Harry doesn’t see or even care that there is a potential new client in the office. Who is this new client? It is a former biology teacher named Richard Cross (played by Jason Alexander) who was fired for failing a student who doesn’t believe in Darwinism.

We also see Ollie take his first case since he came to the law firm. It’s his ex-girlfriend, Tammy, who it turns out to be a serial dater who is being accused of fraud. This woman, as it turns out, is the owner, client and CEO of a dating website. This website caters to older men and the younger women that are attracted to them. She accepts gifts from her “boyfriends” all the while leading these men on, getting them to believe she really liked them and wanted to date them. Apparently, Tammy was dating four other men at the same time and accepting gifts (including a condo in Paris from one of those men).

Psych – Recap & Review – Last Night Gus

Last Night Gus

Why is it that we always have more confidence when we’re drunk? It’s because our inhibitions are down and we don’t know exactly what we’re doing, of course. But it takes our Psych boys a little while to figure that out this week after they wake up with no idea what happened the night before. Have you ever seen The Hangover? Trust me. This is better. But I do apologize ahead of time, because there are a lot of details on this one. It took me four pages of notes! I’ll try to keep it as “to the point” as I can. Here we go…

We open on the whole gang, including Woody the medical examiner, at “Jim’s” retirement party. Juliet decides to leave because it’s boring. Shawn decides to get the party started with a speech and a round of shots on the department. Cut to the morning after…

This Halloween special of Pretty Little Liars took us back in time, a time where Ali was still alive and the girls were just her little puppets. We finally got to know Ali a little better, and for once I kind of felt bad for her (you know, other than the fact that she’s dead…or is she?)

Plus, this episode was all kinds of fun, with costumes, funny guest stars and a whole lot of creepy scenes! I have so many crazy theories so let’s get to it!

A small boy is banging on a bedroom door, begging his mother to open it. His mother is frantically going through the room as if she’s looking for something. The next morning she drops the boy off at a house and drives off without looking back.

A van approaches the boy and forty-eight hours later the BAU is called in because the boy has been kidnapped. The mother, Marlene Smith dropped her son Bobby off at her mother’s house knowing that she would take care of her grandson. Which would give Marlene enough time to get her act back together before she picked her son up. When she finally goes two days later she finds out that her mother never saw Bobby.

The last episode before the finale! Which of Chris, Matt, Orlando, and Sally will not make it? Well, one of them is actually a serious underdog and just doesn’t realize it. Also, an Iron Chef shows up as a guest judge, so you know things are serious.

The low down

Hoo boy. Quite a bit happened. Ozzy threw a tantrum. Brandon declared he wants to vote someone out but won’t because he gave his word. Someone I liked more than I thought I would is sent to Redemption Island.

But, really, this episode is one long look at how Coach says he’d like to play with strong people and do it honorably but can’t achieve that reality. He doesn’t do anything wrong. He just makes loud proclamations about how he won’t do what he goes and does that is so exhausting.

Missing Pieces

Original Air Date: Oct 19, 2011

Caitlin – Associate Staff Writer

It’s Halloween on SVU. We finally see Nick’s young daughter as they go trick-or-treating. We also see Olivia at a party with Calvin. Yes, that Calvin- the boy who was left in her care and then away from her last season.

In the midst of all this fun (happiness never lasts long here), a woman stops to buy diapers but soon walks outside screaming that her car has been stolen with her baby inside. All the detectives drop their plans.
