I’m going to start out by listing everything in this episode that isn’t creepy: Lily’s grumpy about her pregnant body. Ted’s still lonely. James comes to town. Nora is sweet. Weird Al has a cameo. That’s about it.

You’ll notice the title, “Noretta”. It comes about from Nora acting like Barney’s mother, Loretta. It quickly transitions into all involved watching their partners turn into their parents. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

Look! A flashback! It’s kind of strange to see characters pre-apocalypse. Lori has make-up on, for heaven’s sake! We see how Lori learned about Rick getting shot. We also learn that they had been having some marital problems that involved him being considerate and her being mad that he was so nice. Huh.

Back to present day, Carl has been shot and it is Rick’s turn to try to keep things together. The shooter, Otis, directs Rick (carrying Carl) and Shane to a farmhouse for help. For those of you WD Graphic Novel Readers, it is actually The Farmhouse. Poor big old Otis. He was just tracking a deer for food and accidentally shot Carl. Now they are making him run back to the farmhouse in less-than-hospitable circumstances. He feels awful and is quite close to a heart attack. Hopefully, he won’t end up being chased by a bunch of walkers later in the episode. Wait, what?

In keeping with the theme of season six, can I get a HALLELUJAH? Is it just me or did this season (finally) amp up the action and excitement with this episode? I may still be on the fence about the whole theme, but even without a Dexter-slaying, this episode definitely held my interest.

We begin with the horrific visual of our slain jogger, dismembered, sewn to mannequins, and riding down the street atop four horses. And with the arrival of the Miami Metro Homicide gang, the murders of the season finally merge into a single story. So let’s follow the actions and be sure to let me know your thoughts below!

I love The Amazing Race. I’ve always wanted to be on it and have never missed an episode (I still have nightmares of the ostrich egg eating task). But after 19 seasons, and the creation of all the new types of clues, this season feels a little lackluster. We’re already through the fifth leg and I’m bored.

This week we get elephants, free cabs, lots of tears and a lack of tasks.

With that, I give you the top eight things I learned from The Amazing Race – Season 19.

It’s hard to play a game when you don’t know the rules. It’s hard to play a game when your adversary is the one making up the rules. It’s hard to play a game when you’re not in control.

What to do? Simple. Create your own game and your own rules. Play your role and your adversary’s. Think as one and then as both. Know their moves as well as your own. You will always be one step ahead. And if you lose? Start again. Isn’t that right, Magnus?

You know what’s great about Blue Bloods? The writing team knows what works. They don’t overwhelm us with the same story every week and just when we think they’ve hit a bad streak, they bring back the excitement. Last week, I wrote that Jamie’s undercover story would go at the same pace as the Blue Templar story and just like that, this week Jamie began his assignment. This time he’s smarter about it, keeping Frank and Danny in the loop with every turn.

Elsewhere, Danny and Linda try to have a romantic weekend in the city which leaves Frank and Henry on babysitting duty!

It was hard not to get excited when I heard James Marsters and Charisma Carpenter were guest-starring on this episode of Supernatural. I am a huge Angel fan (I only managed to get through Buffy because of Spike. Barely) and these two might possibly be my Holy Grail. Marsters and Carpenter play Don and Maggie Stark, a married couple who just so happens to dabble in sorcery. When their marriage falls apart due to Don’s “thing” with another woman, bodies start dropping. What ensues is an uneven mix of ‘Monster of the Week’, Leviathan, and Winchester angst.

Did Spike and Cordelia manage to save this episode? Read on after the jump to find out!

Grey’s Anatomy – Recap & Review – Poker Face

Poker Face

A poker face is often what people hide behind, but funny things happen when you show your true colors.

Meredith and Derek want to save their marriage and to accomplish that they have set the rule that they won’t talk about neurosurgery. But Meredith wouldn’t be Meredith if she didn’t meddle. Since she’s no longer working with Derek Lexie has taken her place and he doesn’t like it one bit. According to him everything is a mess. He might have just been spoiled with his wife working as his right hand. And it might just be that his wife knows exactly what he likes and dislikes and wants to keep him happy. Lexie however doesn’t have that info and Derek isn’t used to having to say what he wants her to do and how.

So this show started off with a compelling first episode and hasn’t really lived up to it. I wish I could say this is the episode that will make you all want to tune into the show every week, but it wasn’t. I don’t think the show is anything revolutionary or great, but I think there may be an okay procedural in there somewhere.

So read on to read about the latest cases Michael solves this week.
