The guys are still getting used to Jess, and so are we. She wasn’t on our TV’s very long before she disappeared for a month. Doesn’t help me like her to find out that she talks during movies. Seriously one of the top pet peeves. Apparently it doesn’t sit well with the guys either.

Nick has a date. With the overly ironic Lake Bell. And when he’s talking to Schmidt about it, Jess just has to pipe in with her two cents. Surprise, surprise, her two cents is not exactly supportive.

Is it just me or does it feel like we are more than seven weeks in to this season? It just seems to be lasting longer than usual. But that’s ok. Tonight we have a total shakeup throughout the teams and a somewhat shocking elimination.

We pick up right where we left off, at last week’s elimination. Ali announces that they should all wear their original gray number shirts from the first day on the ranch the next day. They all freak out for the night and come up with worse case scenarios as to what might be going on. The black team decides that no matter what, they are sticking together as a team. Right. We’ll see how long that lasts.

Oh beloved Braverman family, please try not to take a week off again! For some reason, the extra week felt like much more time, but happily the family has such great continuity and characters, you can always slip right back in.

Unlike other family shows, this one really works well to combine its angst and heart. The characters are all written in such shades, that nothing is ever black and white. So I’m really hoping (and I know you are too) that we figure out why the majority of 5O has been so obnoxious and uncool with Kono. Anything else is pretty secondary for me. But onto tonight’s Halloween episode! We start with a Blair Witch like handycam, a couple in the woods at night on Halloween. Do real people even do this? I’ve never heard of anyone being stupid in this fashion in real life, just seen it on TV. And then they get murdered.

Moving on to the traditional trick or treating shot montage, Danny is with Grace when he gets called to the scene. Kat and Christian, the unfortunate young dead couple, have been found and now 5O is on the case. But Lori was in costume, so she gets to be completely mortified in front of her new co-workers. Danny and Steve don’t know what her costume was, so now Danny is incapable of focusing.

Their definitions have changed with time though, adapting themselves to the different eras and torrents of thought. One would wonder… how did they adapt themselves to Terra Nova, a brand new society fighting not to make the same mistakes of the past?

They had the detective, they needed the crime. Now they have both. Never before has a murder occurred in Terra Nova. But hey, there had to be a first time, right?

The DWTS Halloween night was a fun night of dancing. The best part of the night was the team dances, in particular Team Paso Doble.

The team dances made a big difference in the leader board. Ricki & Derek were at the top and Nancy & Tristan were at the bottom. J.R. & Karina, consistently near the top, were forced down to the middle as the team scores boosted both Rob and Hope. So who went home? Read on to find out.
