The low down

Sometimes things go exactly as you expect them to go but you still don’t get the result that you want. That’s what Ozzy found out in this episode. He also might’ve learned that bad behavior can haunt you because people aren’t machines or chess pieces you move on a board.

However, he probably hasn’t learned that quite yet.

This has never been a show to shy away from controversial issues, including those revolving around race. Conflict and tensions are high in this episode and stay through the case right to its outcome.

It’s no surprise that absolutely nobody is sad that Bianca is gone. They don’t waste much time lamenting her elimination before they quickly move into this week’s objective. Composing songs and filming music videos. Lisa is feeling pressure to stay on top, but she manages pretty well.

X Factor — Recap & Review — Top 12

X Factor
Top 12

Maybe I’m getting used to X Factor’s over done effects, but the dancers are still extremely distracting. Yet when LeRoy Bell goes it alone, with no flash, he gets criticized.

I guess this is an X Factor world and we only live it. Which may explain why the show has already been renewed for next year.

Most of the acts seem to have gotten over their “live show” jitters. Everyone does a fine job, but a few started to stand out. Now the question is: Who is America fond of as the real voting begins?

Up All Night – Recap & Review – Parents

Up All Night
Parents

Original Air Date: Nov 2, 2011

Caitlin – Associate Staff Writer
caitlin@thetwocentscorp.com

I think there’s some kind of sitcom law that says if at least one set of parents to a main character doesn’t drive their child completely insane, unnamed bad things will happen. Up All Night, however, adheres 100%.

The parents in this case are Regan’s. Specifically her mother, who has always been more successful that her. She’s always been bitter, but, in continued true fashion, a happy ending eventually develops.

Just in case you forgot where we left off, let me remind you. Gemma had disappeared shortly after Bridget told her the truth about who she was and Henry was strongly suspected in her disappearance. Bridget had planted her own fingerprints on the debris from the Butler’s home and called the cops herself. Juliet was a mess and had just met her new teacher, Mr. Cutie Carpenter.

Andrew still thought “Siobhan” was pregnant and the show has done little to address that mess…until tonight.

Yay! The Chance family is back! Hope is in time out because she hit another kid. In her defense the kid is a “fart face” but still, Jimmy is not happy. At home, Virginia and Burt are even more freaked out. Jimmy seems pretty relaxed after Shelley and Sabrina talk him down, but his parents think that Hope has inherited her mother’s serial killer gene.

Great, now Jimmy has nightmares!

A man tries to order fast food whilst his wife berates him over the phone for his high cholesterol level. The man exclaims that it won’t kill him, and then he is shot in the throat with a dart. Back at the bullpen, DiNozzo is obsessed with the fact he thinks he is becoming bald. Gibbs walks in on Ziva when she mentions that Tony hypothetically may be balding, but at least he’s not turning gray. Fun times!

Then Gibbs gets the phone call. Usually the phone call is about a dead body, but in this case, it’s from Gibb’s ex-wife!

They’re back! Annie, Auggie, Joan, Jai and Arthur…they are all back, and I am a very happy camper! Yes, the final 6 episodes of season 2 have begun, and we get to find out what Annie is going to do, now that she has moved out of her sister’s house.

This episode also sheds some light on Jai and what is going on now that he knows about daddy’s dirty dealings and the fact Joan transferred him to Phoenix.

Glee – Recap & Review – Pot O’ Gold

Glee
Pot O’ Gold

Alyssa Silva – Sr Reviewer

Even Ali Adler has failed me. Chuck combined heart and humour so well that I was expecting the same this week considering Adler was at the helm. Instead after gathering a bit of uneven steam Glee disappeared from our screens and returned seemingly choosing to ignore everything good that could be found in ‘Asian F’. What I had to endure wasn’t exactly torture, but I did spend the vast majority of it wondering what Dana Delaney from Body of Proof does to look that good at fifty-five.

That tells you exactly what I thought of this episode, doesn’t it?
