Are you obsessed with social networking? Do you Tweet or check Facebook before you even get out of bed in the morning? I do, so I don’t judge. On this episode of Sunny, our gang decides to step out of the Stone Age and get connected. Of course, nothing ever goes smoothly for them, does it?

We open at 9:30PM on a Saturday in Philly. The gang is checking out a rival bar that’s famous on Facebook. It’s a gin bar, with no sign, that serves drinks out of canning jars. Naturally, our peeps hate gin and all they want is beer. Then, travesty strikes. They get shushed by a douchebag at the bar. Oh no he din’t! Putting that aside for now, Dee decides it’s time for Paddy’s to get connected to the ‘net.

Dead people dresses and capped sleeves – hmm, which is worse? Bernadette’s looking for bridesmaid dresses and Amy’s offering is disturbing either way. Sheldon is dismayed by the turn of the conversation, but ends up losing the female contingent instead of changing the topic. There’s nothing like an upcoming wedding to induce that “estrogen fueled need to page through thick glossy magazines” that make us hate our bodies. Amy’s nailed that one.

Even as much as we all know those models are impossible ideals, we want to look like that anyway. Why? I think the fact that Amy doesn’t even know – and I’m sure she’s analyzed it – says it all. Amy’s always wanted to be a normal woman and has developed a deep understanding of women in the process.

Heart-Shaped Box

The heart is the key.

In this episode the heart can be interpreted as a key in many different ways. Mrs O’Malley followed her heart when she came to SGMW for a second opinion. The heart in the box is Cristina’s key to her bucket-list of surgeries. Avery follows his heart and breaks up with Lexie, because he knows that he has no chance of a future with her as long as Mark is around. Henry wants to follow his heart and his wife and go back to school and become a doctor. Derek wants to follow his heart as well and take on surgeries that other doctors wouldn’t perform because they are too risky.

Lexie allows her patient, who is a writer, to try to finish her book before her surgery to remove her aneurysms because the writer feels she’s obligated to finish the book for her fans.

Andy thinks the office needs a closing ritual so he plays “Closing Time” and plays the part of a NYC barkeep. Pam has heard it everyday since Andy has been manager and she still doesn’t know the words. However, it’s Stanley’s favorite song and he sings it with gusto.

Robert thinks there are too many errors the accounting software and he wants Andy to have it taken care of by next week. Dwight has a solution to the problem called The Accountabililty Booster.

Troy has an aptitude for plumbing and one of the plumbing professors (maybe? I’m not sure. I think his name is Jerry) wants him to come unclog a toilet in the men’s room at 3 just to see if he “feels something”. Troy agrees to get the guy off his back.

A couple of flamboyantly gay students has Pierce sign their package of Hawthorne Wipes. Turns out the wipes are mentioned in a song by an Urbana Champaign, a singer in drag. The wipes have become some kind of gay icon.  The song is pretty catchy.

Finally! The Squint Squad is back and I am not disappointed in our first episode of the 7th season. The main focus of our characters was on Booth and Brennan, of course, and what they are going to do about their living arrangements. To marry or not to marry…that is the question! Temp and Booth have been going back and forth, staying at each other’s apartment and it is getting old. Temp wants to stay at her place and Booth wants to get a new place to call their own.

Let’s read on….

I love The X Factor’s elimination shows! This one was got right to the point and was void of filler (if you don’t count the VERY long commercial breaks).

We start off learning that the top 10 vote-getting acts would be named immediately in no particular order. The bottom two acts had to perform once again and the judges had to decide which to send home. In the case of a tie, the lowest vote getter would go bye-bye.

After an interminably long mid-season break, Burn Notice returned like a comforting hug.

It had all the basic building blocks that have become a staple of the show, while at the same time giving us a bit more insight into Michael’s newest foe. And boy is Anson a worthy adversary.

All Hail Zorp! Pawnee’s very own cult, The Reasonabilists, has been predicting the end of the world for the past 15 years and it’s that time again: Herb, their spokesman, claims the world will end at dawn so the group will hold an all-night vigil in the park. Chris tells Leslie that he and Ben will accompany her, but Ben is uncomfortable with the idea and says he won’t stay long. Leslie reveals to us that they don’t really hang out anymore, so she understands where he’s coming from. So far, she’s been playing it cool but is Leslie really over their relationship?

Over at the now-gutted Entertainment 7/20 offices, Tom and Jean-Ralphio decide to take the last of their money and throw a massive “End of the World” party. These two might not be able to run a business, but they can sure throw one hell of a blowout!

The Vampire Diaries – Recap & Review – Ordinary People

Ordinary People.  Wherein Alaric reads pictures, Elena makes friends with Rebekah, Damon and Stefan go clubbing vampire style, and Rebekah reveals ALL.

Alaric and Elena are spelunking as Damon watches from the shadows.  Alaric explains that Vikings came and drew on the cave walls and were even courteous enough to sign their names:  Rebekah, Klaus, Elijah.  And after a flashback during which Klaus sports some very sexy eleventh century hair, Alaric reads the name “Mikael.”
