Simon Helberg, Actor

Simon Helberg plays the very quirky Howard Wolowitz on CBS’s The Big Bang Theory. The show is finishing off its sixth season and remains the number one comedy on CBS. Simon’s character is the only one in the gang who is married, but he’s still just as loveable and nerdy as ever. The success of the show in general really does show that we geeks do, in fact, rule the world. I was offered the chance to have a one-on-one interview with Simon to talk about Howard and the upcoming finale and I jumped at the opportunity. Here is what he had to say.

TheTwoCents: At the end of last season and the beginning of this season, Howard got to live his lifelong dream of going into space. How was it for you working with NASA and the astronauts?

It appears that the sexes have divided for the weekend for different adventures. The girls are off to Vegas – no husbands, no boyfriends, some rules – and the guys are playing Dungeons and Dragons. Unashamed geek that I am, I have to say I’d rather be playing D&D with the guys, but Vegas would be fun too I suppose. I’ve never been.

Let’s see who has more fun.

Elementary
Risk Management

Original Air Date: May 9, 2013

Laura Kelley – Associate Staff Writer

This week’s Elementary was easily one of the show’s best and most engaging so far, and it had an ending that I kind of saw coming but was still pretty surprised by. The show has been teasing Irene Adler all season and we finally got a big reveal with her and I loved how it was done. At the outset Holmes takes a case with a promise that if he does solve it Moriarty will tell him what he wants to know; we all know he’s going to take the case but we don’t know where it’s going to lead him, or who it will lead him to. Hit the jump for more, and as always there will be blood spoilers ahead!

TNT has opted not to renew the hospital drama Monday Mornings for a season 2.

In a statement, TNT said: “We are extremely grateful to executive producers David E. Kelly, Bill D’Elia and Dr. Sanjay Gupta, on whose novel the series was based. They crafted a unique and powerfully moving drama full of memorable situations and characters brought to life by a terrific ensemble cast. Unfortunately the show never built its audience enough to warrant its continuation.”
