So Max got her heart broken tonight. While she was cleaning up a hoarder’s apartment with Caroline, she was emotionally hoarding her feelings for her friend, Johnny.

Caroline hyped her up and tried to get her to let go of her baggage, but it didn’t work out for Max…or did it? Read on for tonight’s recap.

It seems as if The Good Wife is trying to give us Good Advice every episode. Last week, we learned not to look for skeletons in your ex’s closet, because some may involve you.

This week, we learned to put your cell phone on vibrate when having a late lunch quickie with the boss. Why is that? Read on…

Desperate Housewives – Recap & Review – Always in Control

Desperate Housewives
Always in Control

Original Air Date: Nov 6, 2011

Annette – Associate Staff Writer
annette@thetwocentscorp.com

The housewives are all still trying to deal with their lives with the murder secret as their undercurrent. Gaby and Carlos are having family troubles, Lynette is still struggling with Tom’s new life and Susan still hasn’t gotten the approval she craves from her art teacher. The title of this episode shows that they are not always in control.

Last week, the ladies wanted to move the body of Alejandro only to discover that someone had done it for them. Perhaps we find out this week who that person was.

Yes, you remember correctly: Shane turned into a crazy person. What I can’t decide is if he killed Otis to save his own hide, or if it was with a sincere knowledge that if he didn’t make it back to the farm, Carl would die. I tend to believe the latter. And I also believe that he knew it would destroy him. The event is already taking its toll and when Hershel asks Shane to speak at Otis’ memorial, the memories and the flashbacks are in stark contrast to one another. Except, of course, when he tells Otis’ widow that his death saved both he and Carl.

Yeah. I don’t think Shane is coming back from this.

Dexter – Recap & Review – Just Let Go

Dexter
Just Let Go

I’m beginning to find something very interesting about this season of Dexter. We’ve got the all-encompassing religious overtones, but the “big bad” killer arc isn’t what’s most interesting. In fact, it almost drags things down a bit. But Dexter’s personal journey is what actually keeps me coming back for more.

Over the years, we’ve seen Dexter try to find a soul mate in the form of a wife, friend, sibling, and lover. It’s never worked for him. But this year, he’s not trying to find something external, he’s trying to find himself. And this episode was all the more interesting for it.

Last week was yet another non-elimination leg. This brings us a Speed Bump this leg, along with the return of the U-Turn (on a new technological stand!). Not to be outdone, the Express Pass also may come into play this week.

That’s a lot of Amazing Race goodness in one episode!

Saturday Night Live – Recap & Review – Charlie Day

Charlie Day

APPARENTLY, IT’S ALSO QUITE LOUD IN PHILADELPHIA!

Charlie Day of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia hosts our first new episode in the last three weeks. I’ve never watched Sunny, but one complaint I’ve heard is that the writers seem to think characters have to be loud to be funny.

After watching tonight’s show, I can see there being a basis for that opinion. Charlie Day’s voice gets loud (a LOT) and annoying (a WHOLE lot). So this week, each sketch will get a standard grade, plus a one-time-only “Charlie Day Volume Score” so you can tell how loud Charlie Day was in that sketch.

The show itself? It had its moments, but all in all, it was just so-so. Read my sketch-by-sketch review and give me your TwoCents in the comments section!

If you can’t beat them, join them. That’s how the proverb goes, right? Unless you’re Nikola Tesla, of course. If you happen to be the last vampire on Earth, you might go for something slightly different… something like, pretend you can’t beat them, join them and then use that against them. Has quite a ring to it, doesn’t it?

That’s right, Nikola Tesla is back and he’s ready to… cause some trouble. We should already be used to it by now but he is, and I am officially quoting Helen Magnus here, “full of surprises”.

Are you ready?

Chuck or should we call it (4 Broke Spies?) continues with the fledgling Charmichael Industries making a pitch at a security firm convention. The spies are upstaged however by a rival firm run by Casey’s old nemesis Gertrude Verbanski (guest star Carrie-Anne Moss.

Back at the Spy More things aren’t going much better. There’s literally a tumbleweed rolling around the store from the new Home & Garden Center. Who sells tumbleweeds anyway? I want one.
