Sendhil Ramamurthy, actor

Sendhil Ramamurthy, who plays Jai Wilcox on USA Networks Covert Affairs, recently took the time to talk to some of us bloggers about his character and what we can expect to see on the final 3 episodes of the season.

He couldn’t tell us exactly what was going to happen in the finale but does give us some teasers and also his own opinion on what he would like to see happen to Jai.

Let’s get started…

TheTwoCents: How are you going to fit back into the storyline because you just randomly appeared so far in episodes?

TwoCents & Five Questions with Ray Romano

manny/ray

Ray Romano, Actor

Ray Romano is most known for the title role on Everybody Loves Raymond, but he also is known for providing the voice for Manny the mammoth in the popular Ice Age movies. This year they have decided to do an animated special for Christmas, named Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas, airing at 8pmET on Thanksgiving on FOX.

The voice-over gigs are very different for Ray, but he’s come to really enjoy them. The actor, whose original plan was to become an accountant, was most recently starring on TNT’s Men of A Certain Age. The show was critically acclaimed, but was unfortunately canceled. He’ll certainly find something else sooner than later. But for now, please check out the interview we were able to do with him during a recent conference call.

TheTwoCents: Do you have Holiday favorites of your own that date back to when you were a kid, or even into more recent times animated specials for the holidays?

Dexter – Recap & Review – Sin Of Omission

I was really down on last week’s episode. So this week, I decided to put expectations aside. Instead of remembering what I feel Dexter was and should be, I’m letting go. I’m going to judge solely based on what happens this week and my reactions to it. Sure, I’ll have to factor in how it affects the season as a whole, but I’m going in with an open mind and setting aside the disappointment I’ve felt this season compared to those past.

Tonight’s episode was largely expositional, but did have a few major events unfold throughout the hour. We saw Deb have insight and a meltdown. We said goodbye to a supporting player. And we got confirmation that LaGuerta is still completely maddening. But best of all, we had real movement in the Doomsday Killer case.

Saturday Night Live – Recap & Review – Jason Segel

Saturday Night Live
Jason Segel

Len – Two Cents Reviewer

I’m in a good mood tonight. Why? Jason Segel is hosting and promoting his new film The Muppets, so I’m expecting the following: Fun. Wackiness. Generous Muppet cameos. And tonight’s show delivers on all three fronts.

Don’t get me wrong, there are a few sketches that mostly bomb, including one that gets the very rare “F” grade that I withhold for only the worst of the worst. But there’s a lightheartedness prevalent in tonight’s show from start to finish. So if you’re grading at home, read on and see how your scores stack up to mine – then let me know your thoughts in the comments section!

CSI:NY – Recap & Review – Crossroads

This episode follows the continuing case against John Curtis. Jo Danville saw Curtis get away with rape in a case that ended her career in the FBI in Washington. How will the case end this time? Jo has to sit on the sidelines, but at least there’s another case for her to work on. A judge was shot dead in the middle of the night whilst visiting a crime scene, surrounded by numerous jury members and cops. Crafty criminal, but our CSIs are craftier.

Olivia looks like death warmed over. After stumbling to her medicine cabinet and finding her migraine medication gone, she goes to her local pharmacy for a refill. Did I mention she looks like death warmed over? The poor girl can barely walk. Once she pops the pill, though, it’s like nothing had happened. Her hair even looks better. Miracle migraine cure, or Fringe Event?

Lincoln isn’t doing much better. Since he started this new job he hasn’t slept. Remember when Olivia asked him if he was freaking out? Yeah. He is. The two talk about their choice of occupation over coffee in a diner at three in the morning. He thinks he’ll never get used to the weirdness, she wonders how she ever did.

So there’s a big Spy More convention this week and it’s an opportunity for drawing out the final hit-person who’s still trying to carry out Decker’s canceled kill order on Morgan. It’s also the one of the final straws in the sad, sad breakup of Jeffster!

The hit on Morgan is canceled after General Grandma helps Carmichael Industries remove the defective Intersect from Morgan’s brain. He’s back to his old self – except for some slight memory loss – which provides Casey with some fun opportunities to mess with Morgan. “Watch Phantom Menance first. You love that one.” This is the first episode in a while where nobody has the Intersect, but it’s still business as usual for the Spy More team.

Thanksgiving

Original Air Date: Nov 18, 2011

Thanksgiving is the ultimate Reagan holiday. It’s essentially a big Sunday dinner, which we know they love! But we can’t get through a Thanksgiving dinner without some drama because after all, this is television.

During Thanksgiving 2011, someone has a heart attack, Erin finds out more details about Jacob the art agent, Renzulli admits an addiction, Jamie reflects on life (a bit…), and Danny and Jackie are assigned to a case of family drama like you’ve never seen.

It’s been a long few months without a new Degrassi, so we got this Halloween-esque hour to tide us over until the new season hits in 2012. But unlike normal episodes, this one didn’t really break out into clean story arcs as all of our characters were embroiled in the same horror plot.

But we did have couple drama, so I’ll take my normal story/verdict approach. But be sure to give your feedback as to how this unusual, yet fairly cliché, special worked for you.

Alyssa Silva – Sr Reviewer
alyssa@thetwocentscorp.com

Last week’s episode was a little bit of a letdown, and this one made up for it by re-focusing attention back on the Leviathan. The episode felt a bit scattered – a symptom that has plagued Supernatural since Gamble took over – but the cliffhanger at the end got me.

But first we start with the show targeting a food group both Dean and myself hold dear to our hearts – meat.
