Man. I’ve been having a hard time writing this post because, to be honest, I’m still reeling. Pretty Much Dead Already was heavy enough without that last scene, which is probably the most important scene in the entire series. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

The episode opens with the survivors sitting around the campfire eating breakfast. Glenn, with a little silent encouragement from Dale, does the right thing: He tells the group that the barn is full of Walkers.

Your conscience can be hard to find, especially in difficult situations. Some people find it by asking themselves WWJD? Some people need time to develop a conscience – after turning nice people into dolls or a near death experience in a mine.

Hey, I never said it’s easy but it’s never too late (unless you’re that couple that was turned into puppets – then it’s too bad so sad).

Well, the holiday season is officially upon us, so now it’s time to fill our lives with cheer and joy. Or in case of Dexter, point a lot of fingers and say “I told you so.”

Now, I’ll get to exactly what I told you in a little bit. But I’m sure frequent readers will have no trouble guess what I’m gloating about. Because, with this episode, we moved the Doomsday Killer story a whole lot forward, but we also left a lot of jaws seriously un-dropped.

We didn’t start out with a specific flashback this week. In fact, this week’s episode bounced around in time, starting out six months ago, when the Harmons moved in. Nora was wandering around, wondering what happened to her stuff and where her baby was. Apparently she doesn’t know she’s dead either after all these years. Someone, we don’t know who yet, comforts her and offers to help her. His version of helping Nora? Donning the rubber suit, that Ben did throw away, and having sex with Vivien, which we’d already seen. The twist this time is the perspective.

So who was in the rubber suit that night?

This episode was filled with plot developments and confrontations that pit strong-willed, determined characters against each other for control. So basically, just a regular day in the Hamptons for our cast of devious characters!

But with her plans in jeopardy from multiple sides, where does Emily go from here? Can she take out Tyler and faux-Manda before they destroy her plans? Can she get her revenge on Victoria and Conrad before her real identity is revealed?

This episode featured a Quickfire with an interesting method of determining the prize a chef could win. The Elimination Challenge is a chili cook-off at a rodeo.

Because it will eventually impact the show, I’ll include a quick recap on Last Chance Kitchen. Last Chance Kitchen is where eliminated chefs face off one-on-one. The winner stays to face the next chef eliminated from the show. Eventually, the chef left standing in the Last Chance Kitchen will re-enter the competition. (If you watch Survivor, it’s their version of Redemption Island, although I prefer it here since elimination is based on skill and not a collective decision by competitors to oust someone from the game.)

Two strong performances didn’t offset the pain of seeing two acts leave on one show. That’s right—two acts left, to be X-memories from here on out.

We got to see Kelly Clarkson premiere her new single “Stronger,” which was a nice power tune. Bruno Mars also stopped by with his newest single as well, “It Will Rain,” a haunting ballad that I am downloading tonight!

We also got a horrible group number in circus outfits. Supposedly, people voted for this. I don’t see how…

Reagan’s role as a working mother has been a major part of this show. So has Chris’s as a stay-at-home dad. Tonight that might be coming to an end. The key word is “might”, given how it all turns out.

Ava is showing Kevin and McKenna (his daughter) around the studio. Which, as they soon learn, is leaking. The whole operation is going to be shut down for a week, possibly because of Ellen DeGeneres.

Two cops check up on an illegally parked car. There’s a guy inside, very drunk. One of the officers tries to get him out of the car whilst the other checks the scene. Whilst one cop is struggling with the drunken man, the other notices a piece of jacket material sticking out of the trunk of the car. She opens it to find a dead body. It’s only then revealed that the drunken man is actually Anthony DiNozzo senior.

Biggest Loser 12 – Recap & Review – Week 10

Biggest Loser 12
Week 10

Original Air Date: Nov 22, 2011

Anne – Associate Editor
anne@thetwocentscorp.com

It’s Thanksgiving week on the Biggest Loser Ranch and they have all the fixings for a wonderful holiday. It will just be a healthier holiday. We’re winding down to the end here and there are only three episodes left after tonight. The winner will be decided on Tuesday, December 13.

Thanksgiving really is one of the hardest holidays to get through when you are watching your weight. Does anyone else struggle with that? My biggest weakness is the stuffing, so this year I asked my mom to make me some sautéed mushrooms instead. On to the review!

We jump right into a temptation opening the episode. There is a table with all the different traditional Thanksgiving foods on little paper plates. Below each plate is a number. They have five minutes to eat whatever they want to claim the numbers. The lowest number picks the first of three prizes and so on. Everyone eats immediately except for Sunny, but she eventually gives in as well. The prizes they have to choose from are:

– Vinny pulls the number 10 and chooses a 3 pound advantage on the scale
– Becky picks second with a 38 and chooses a full Cybex home gym
– Antone picks up the rear and will win $500 for every pound he loses this week

During workouts, Dolvett focuses on John, who is his last man standing. Bob works hard with Vinny, who he feels should have lost more and hit the 100 lb. mark weeks ago. Bob and Antone have a talk about how John doesn’t seem to really celebrate his accomplishments and they are worried this will cause him to gain his weight back. Dolvett agrees and has a talk with John about it. Later that night, the trainers surprise the contestants with a Thanksgiving dinner Biggest Loser style. They all share their thanks with each other. Bob opens up about his sister, who has struggled with her weight for years.

Now it’s challenge time! One mile straight up on the Jacob’s Ladders. Those things are the devil, let me tell ya. Again, there will be three prizes to choose from:

– 6 months of the Biggest Loser meal plan for yourself and one eliminated person
– $2500 for yourself and one other person still in the game
– 1 pound advantage for yourself and a one pound DISadvantage for someone else

They all struggle through, but John finishes first and chooses the 1 lb. advantage. He will announce who gets the disadvantage when they get to the weigh-in. Sunny comes in second and chooses the meal plan for herself and for Bonnie. Ramon comes in third and gets the money for himself and he chooses Vinny to get the other $2500. The others wonder who John will give the disadvantage to. Vinny asked him to give it to him, since he has the 3 lb. advantage from earlier. We’ll have to wait and see. On a side note, I love the way that Ramon says “treadmeal”.

At the weigh-in, John announces that the disadvantage will go to Sunny. What? Ok then. Here are the weight results:

John – 5+1= 6 (1.94%)
Antone – 8 (2.36%) – wins $4000!!
Vinny – 11+3=14 (4.18%)
Becky – 5 (2.75%)
Ramon – 4 (1.83%)
Sunny – 5-1= 4 (1.93%)

So, it comes down to Ramon and Sunny. The vote ends up being tied and Ramon goes because his percentage was smaller. Interesting aside, Antone went off on John for voting for Sunny after giving her the disadvantage. It’s kind of a kick in the gut. But it didn’t get blown up and I doubt we’ll see much consequence, seeing next week is makeover week. In his Transformation Moment, we see that Ramon is reunited with Jessica and has lost 110 lbs. overall. He gave himself a makeover and looks awesome with the shorter hair. They go skydiving together and he all but announces to the camera that he’s going to propose to Jessica at the finale.

I loved this episode, but I am very sad to see Ramon go. I’ve always thought he was a cutie-patootie, and he’s so nice. I’m not quite as fond of Jessica, but I like to see them happy together. I just hope she’s as into him as he is into her. What did you guys think of the episode? Please leave your own TwoCents below and fill me in! Thank you for reading and I’ll see you next week!
