When I heard that William Shatner was going to guest star as Juliet’s dad, I couldn’t wait for this episode. Denny Crane. James Tiberius Kirk. The man, the legend. He definitely didn’t disappoint. Before we jump into this episode, let me give a quick summary of last week’s episode. I was sick and didn’t get a chance to do a full review. Basically, Shawn went undercover, along with Gus, into an insane asylum to prove that a criminal wasn’t really crazy. Molly Ringwald guest starred at a nurse. Her name was Lavender, which I am taking as a play on Pretty in Pink. Shawn solved the case, Kenny G saved the day and we learned that Shawn sleeps with a teddy bear. Aww. Now, onto this week…

This weeks episode starts in 1947 with a dentist operating out of the house and the integration of Hollywood’s most famous unsolved murder into the mix. The Black Dahlia, Elizabeth Short herself, has come to see the dentist because she’s heard he makes “special arrangements” with girls that can’t afford to pay. And how could he be expected to resist her. She’s beautiful, and she’s throwing herself at him.

Just like the young Moira is throwing herself at Ben again.

This was a pretty frustrating episode. Although, I have a feeling that I’ll be frustrated with every episode until someone at least thinks about making a move against Coach.

Another opportunity to do that presented itself this week and people let it slide.

This episode was a nice in the progression of the season. It allowed the chefestants to cook what they want to cook without interference from being on a team for the first time this season.

It also solidified, for me anyway, who the person to hate is. There’s one every season. I won’t mention the name here. I’ll let you try to figure out who it is by the end (Hint: it won’t be hard).

What I like about this show is the depth of talent. Anyone of the seven remaining contestants could go on to a real career and maybe all of them will. There’s no doubt in my mind that Rachel Crow will land a sitcom deal on Disney or Nickelodeon.

However, these seven are facing a double elimination this week. So two contestants won’t be performing next week.

We’re down to just four girls and only two episodes left, including tonight. Angelea is still trippin’ that she made it through again and Lisa still thinks that she is the best of the best. She’s still growing on me, I have to admit. Laura is overjoyed to be this far, because where she comes from, people don’t get to do things like this. She wants this so bad. Even Lisa thinks that Laura is her biggest competition. But she thinks she’ll edge her out because Laura just doesn’t have “it”.

So who are going to be our final three? Let’s jump in and find out!

Tonight’s episode of SVU focuses on prejudice toward Romany culture taken to a dangerous extreme. Also, Gilbert Gottfried appears as a tech for approximately 2 minutes. Be prepared.

A woman prepares her son to go off to school on his own. Remarkably for this show, he gets there without incident. But, detoured on the way home, he disappears from the sidewalk in the blink of an eye.
