On tonight’s episode, we learn how each member of the gang handles it when they are left to their own devices. The gang is all geared up to go to see the movie Thunder Gun Express. It’s the best movie in the world right now and they can’t wait. Apparently there is a dude that hangs dong in the movie. They have their booze and their tickets. Except for Frank, he doesn’t have a ticket. The one thing they didn’t take into mind is that Obama is in town and it could cause some timing issues.

This is like an episode of 24. There is a clock counting down throughout the whole show. What could possibly go wrong?

The Office – Recap & Review – Mrs. California

Dwight decides to stand at his desk now because he believes it’s healthier. Jim says that they should all admit that Dwight is better than they are because he made the decision to never sit again and he’ll never go back on it. Well, of course, Dwight will never back down now. Dwight is already tired of standing by the time Jim gets the sentence out. Jim sees Dwight standing at his desk, but he’s actually sitting on some kind of stool hidden in his pants leg. Jim pushes him over. And that was the funniest moment of the episode.

Robert California frantically knocks on Andy’s office window looking flustered saying his wife is on her way up. He tells them that he said she could work there and under no circumstances should she be allowed to work there.

Dear TV Claus … From Lauren

Hi gang! Happy Holidays to you all! For the month of December, the crew here at TheTwoCents.com will be writing our letters to TV Claus. A powerful being who transcends all beliefs to bring us the wonderment of good television. You’ll see a new letter to TV Claus almost daily here and we hope you’ll chime in your TwoCents to TV Claus too!

Dear TV Claus,

How is Mrs. TV Claus? How are the Ratings Reindeer – are they getting ready for the busy season? I hope things in the tELFevision workshop are going well. I have been a good girl this year, because I don’t want any more Snookie or RHofNEwhere lumps of coal in my TV stocking. This year, all I’m asking for is…

  • The Duggars to realize that maybe keeping up with 20 kids is work enough, and that it’s time to go off the air. While you’re at it, how about doing away with the Kody Brown crew? The big family thing isn’t fun anymore since Big Love ended.
  • Second seasons for The Secret Circle and Hart of Dixie. I know they’re fluffy, but they’re really good DVR catch-up shows, and I’m not ready to give them up!
  • New go-to shots for Victoria on Revenge. I’m tired of seeing her stare creepily from that beach house balcony.
  • A small-screen project for Kyle Chandler. TV misses him already. And while we’re on the topic of FNL alumni, how about the nerves to sit through a full episode of American Horror Story without putting my hands over my eyes?

Parks and Recreation – Recap & Review – The Trial of Leslie Knope

Parks and Recreation
The Trial of Leslie Knope

Original Air Date: Dec 1, 2011

Valentina D.– Senior Reviewer
valentina@thetwocentscorp.com

This amusing episode serves to tie up one ongoing storyline: the saga of Leslie and Ben. The good: Ben and Leslie are back on the relationship train. The bad: In addition to the fact that being together might hurt Leslie’s mayoral campaign, they’re now obligated to inform Chris and deal with whatever action he chooses to take.

Get ready for some great callbacks to previous seasons! Someone will lose their job and Jerry’s dark secret will be revealed, one that he’s had ever since he first started at City Hall. Find out what it might be after the jump!

It was another double elimination night and I have to say that one of the acts sent home shocked me. Like – can you believe this is happening – kind of shock.

First off, I have to apologize that I missed the first 15 minutes and the guest performer. My DVR seemed to have a case of digital hiccups. So I’ll get right to who stayed and who went home.

Burn Notice – Recap & Review – Depth Perception

Burn Notice
Depth Perception

Original Air Date: Dec 1, 2011

Alyssa Silva – Sr Reviewer
alyssa@thetwocentscorp.com

The fundamental reason I have watched Burn Notice since its inception has been the evolution of Michael Westen. While explosions and gun fire often war for attention, the characters themselves are also allowed their turn in the spotlight. Obviously one would assume spies are private by nature, so when Michael peels back those layers through well-timed phrases or through a proxy it makes the reward that much more satisfying.

This week Anson provided that catalyst for Michael as he insinuated himself into Team Westen’s efforts to protect an old friend of Sam’s named Beatriz, a pretty Colombian who saved his life in the prequel The Fall of Sam Axe.

Bones – Recap & Review – The Male In The Mail

Bones
The Male in the Mail

Original Air Date: Dec 1, 2011

Karen – Sr Staff Writer
Karen@thetwocentscorp.com

This episode is a much more emotional one than we normally get, as we watch Booth struggle with the news of the death of his father. Grandpa Walton…um I mean Pops Booth is back in town and he drops the news in Booth’s lap, but Booth plays it off like he doesn’t care even though we can see he is clearly shaken.

Mr Edison is back as our intern of the week, and I found him quite humorous as he tries to deal with a pregnant boss. Read more….
