Dear TV Claus,

I’ve been a good girl this year and I’m hoping you can make some of my wishes come true! Here’s my list:

1. Please bring back The Muppet Show (and make it as great as it used to be)!

2. Please continue the soapy awesomeness of Revenge.

3. Please make Project Runway good (with sane judges) again.

Once Upon a Time – Recap & Review – The Shepherd

Are we defined by the choices we make or are true selves reflected in these choices? Our lives are a culmination of decisions made and opportunities lost.

Our choices, often times, leads us to unexpected places. How do we know if these choices are correct? We can only do what we think is right (like don’t sell your baby, fool!).

In Fairytale, Prince Charming is fighting a thug to prove he is worthy of defeating a dragon plaguing King Midas’ kingdom. The deal of the day: If Charming can kill the thug and then the dragon, his kingdom will have all the gold they desperately need (‘cause King Midas craps gold).

Dexter – Recap & Review – Ricochet Rabbit

I’m calling foul on the title of this episode. An entire hour called Ricochet Rabbit and not one bing-bing-bing reference? My disappointment is infinite.

However, all was not a total waste, as the hour did get a little more action and a little less talk towards redemption. It still has a ways to go to rank with seasons past, but plotting did take a turn towards the more interesting this hour.

Howdy Senor Claus! I’ve been a good reviewer this year, can’t you be good back to me? I only ask three simple requests.

1. Please have Supernatural get it’s act together and gear up for season 8.

2. I really appreciate all the amazing scripted stuff out there, there are several great sitcoms (after a long drought) and some great new dramas as well. That being said, I want New Girl and Once Upon a Time to be better than they are right now.

Saturday Night Live – Recap & Review – Steve Buscemi

Saturday Night Live
Steve Buscemi

Original Air Date: Dec 3, 2011

We’re back this week with the first show since the Thanksgiving hiatus, and for me it was the anti-Thanksgiving show. Instead of one solid, linear feast, it felt more like one of those nights where you realize you haven’t done the grocery shopping in forever and your dinner ends up being a hodgepodge of soup, cereal, pancakes and that microwave burrito you thought would be a good idea but kept putting off.

And, you know, it was strangely satisfying overall. We get the returns of Miley and “Sex” Ed Vincent, a cameo from an SNL alum, a ton of creepiness that DOESN’T come from Steve Buscemi, and a final sketch that still has my head on a rocket ship circling the moon. Let’s break it down sketch-by-sketch, then you can give me your TwoCents in the comments section!

CSI:NY – Recap & Review – Means to an End

CSI:NY
Means to an End

Original Air Date: Dec 02, 2011

Maria – Sr. Reviewer

Previously on CSI:NY: Jo Danville witnessed rapist John Curtis walk free because the victim, Ali Rand, lied under oath. Jo Danville previously had to undergo a similar situation. John Curtis raped Senator Matthew’s daughter, but he walked free because Frank Waters made an error when processing the DNA and tried to cover it up. Jo didn’t let him. It gets worse.

The opening trailer shows a woman thrown into a mirror, whilst another woman is lying unconscious on the ground. The bloodied woman, choking on her own blood, is Jo Danville, and I bet the manly shape walking towards her is John Curtis.

Blue Bloods – Recap & Review – Moonlighting

Moonlighting

Original Air Date: Dec 2, 2011

FK – Sr. Editor

A lot has been going on with the Reagan family. Henry had a heart attack (but survived), Erin is sort of dating an art thief (he’s a Robin Hood though so it’s ok..sarcasm..), Jaime is undercover in an Italian crime family (“Jimmy” his is name-o), and Frank is, well, being Frank.

Tonight we dive deeper into the Sanfino family (and Jaime starts getting a bit too close to one of the females…), we get a tour of the town courtesy of Danny and a former hit man, Frank gets a new “fixer” and Erin finds out the truth about Jacob.

Dear TV Claus … From Tess

Hi gang! Happy Holidays to you all! For the month of December, the crew here at TheTwoCents.com will be writing our letters to TV Claus. A powerful being who transcends all beliefs to bring us the wonderment of good television. You’ll see a new letter to TV Claus almost daily here and we hope you’ll chime in your TwoCents to TV Claus too!

Dear TV Claus,

I have been a VERY good girl this year. I’ve not skipped episodes or seasons, I’ve not given up on shows without giving them at least 10 episodes (not my fault if they got canceled before that!) and I’ve been buying the DVD box sets so that there’s profit for everyone. So there… I think I deserve having you grant me some of my modest requests, don’t you agree?

The list:

1. Your darling self should definitely get Sanctuary renewed… How am I supposed to get my Amanda Tapping fix without it? I need my Helen Magnus. It can’t be that hard to keep the show on… I mean, it’s not like I am asking you to bring Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis back… but if you could…

2. Speaking of Stargate, I would much appreciate if the Stargate SG-1 box set wasn’t as expensive as it is now. If you happen to lower its price, would you have Amanda Tapping deliver it to my door? That would be lovely, thank you.

3. Now, where have you been keeping Elizabeth Mitchell, Torri Higginson, Olivia Williams and Maura Tierney? Why aren’t they on my TV? Will you please do something about this? I miss them.

I have to capitalize my reaction to this episode, because really it inspired a whole lot of feelings. First, IF YOU DID NOT AT LEAST ATTEMPT TO CRY THEN THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH YOU. Second, BOBBY!

And, finally, IDJITS.
