Steak! It’s what’s for dinner! And, it’s what’s for the Elimination Challenge! Oh, wow, that was weak, right? Moving on. The cheftestants are back on one team again and making steak for the cattle baron’s ball.

Oh, and I know you’re wondering: Yes, Chris J continues to wear his hair like a total dillhole.

Loyalty

Melanie – TwoCents Reviewer

Is anyone else frustrated with all this week skipping? Makes it hard to keep track of the show! And with so much going on in the storylines of all the characters, you hate to have to wait twice as long to see where it’s leading!

It seems Emily’s plans are on hold as she deals with a couple unexpected twists…or are they? Can she proceed with her original targets while taking out the new ones? And what is the deal with her visiting Japanese mentor? Unfortunately, this episode doesn’t offer us many answers…

Dear TV Claus … From Anne

Hi gang! Happy Holidays to you all! For the month of December, the crew here at TheTwoCents.com will be writing our letters to TV Claus. A powerful being who transcends all beliefs to bring us the wonderment of good television. You’ll see a new letter to TV Claus almost daily here and we hope you’ll chime in your TwoCents to TV Claus too!

Dear TV Claus,

It’s been a hard year for me, Mr. Claus, and you would be making me so happy if you could grant me one or more of the following wishes:

1. I miss Pushing Daisies so much! It’s been off the air for entirely too long! Please bring it back somehow! Pretty please?

2. Fringe is such an awesome show! Do you watch it? Does AltiTVClaus? I would love to see it return for at least one more season. And while you’re at it, please make Walter and Olivia remember Peter!!

The X Factor — Recap & Review — Top 5

The X Factor
Top 5

Original Air Date: Dec 7, 2011

Patricia Morris Buckley — Sr. Staff Writer
pmb@thetwocentscorp.com

We’re down to five acts now, so it’s time for the five remaining contestants to increase the number of performances to two. The first had to be a dance music hit. Then they were given a twist with the second. They had to change their song 24 hours before the show and use their “Save Me” song.

While the producers tried to play up the tension, the performers really took it in stride. The only real one it had to be tough on was Marcus, who had already used up two “Save Me” songs.

The real stresser was that only four acts will make next week’s semi-finals. It’s a fairly tight field and after the surprise elimination of front-runner Drew, they know no one is secure. Here’s what happened:

Law & Order: SVU – Recap & Review – Spiraling Down

Law & Order: SVU
Spiraling Down

Original Air Date: Dec 7, 2011

Caitlin – Associate Staff Writer

On Wednesdays, in addition to the shows I review, I watch either Modern Family or Harry’s Law. Last week, the latter focused on the dangers of concussions in football. Tonight, SVU does as well.

Of course, this being SVU, there’s some sex and scandal thrown in. In this case, underage prostitutes and a very famous client. And it actually all ties together logically this time- at least as much as it ever does here.

I know today feels like December 7, 2011. But it’s not. It’s actually December 16, 2011. Do you doubt me? Well I have the Dunphy-Pritchett-Delgado-Tucker clan to back me up. And not only is it December 16th… it’s Express Christmas ™!!!

Yes, Christmas may be a few weeks away, but the aforementioned families were with us to celebrate tonight. And since I watched it on DVR, fast forwarding through the commercials, they made sure I had an extended Target commercial to boot. But more on that in a moment!

Raising Hope
The Men of New Natesville

Original Air Date: Dec 6, 2011

Rachel M – Senior Staff Writer
rachelm@thetwocentscorp.com

Fathers and daughters, they are a unique pair. Jimmy has become more than a little feminine while playing with Hope. Burt is pretty disappointed in Jimmy and thinks he needs to get his edge back. He convinces Jimmy that he needs to get his edge back, which instantly makes Jimmy do some stupid stuff to try and impress Sabrina. Including going to a party where everyone is getting high on oxygen deprivation due to blowing up inflatable animals.

This leads to Jimmy getting to know Frank a little better. He has recreated the entire town in miniature. He’s put a lot of work into it. Through his introduction to “New Natesville” they discover that they had the same bully in junior high.

First Christmas

Original Air Date: Dec 7, 2011

Caitlin – Associate Staff Writer
caitlin@thetwocentscorp.com

It’s Christmas on Up All Night! And on about 50 other shows airing this week, but that’s beside the point. Chris and Regan are about to enjoy their first Christmas as parents- and Amy’s first Christmas ever.

The neighbors- Jean and Terry, I finally learn- are very into the holiday season. Chris and Reagan? Not so much. Amy, however, loves their giant displays. Reagan starts to wonder if their little tree is enough.

Eureka – Recap & Review – Do You See What I See

Eureka
Do You See What I See

Original Air Date: Dec 6, 2011

Rachel M – Senior Staff Writer
rachelm@thetwocentscorp.com

It’s time to get animated! It’s the holidays in Eureka, and there’s no way the town gets to escape shenanigans because everyone is merry. It is Eureka after all. SARAH agrees with me! Jack is up to a special treat, making Eureka a winter wonderland with snow and all.

Jenna gets to open a present, and it’s a book that you can manipulate and make a “Holotown.” And then somehow, the snow making machine gets screwed up, and starts to spread color over the town instead of snow. As usual Fargo is to blame. The wave sweeps over the town and now everyone is an avatar.
