“Out they scampered from the doors, windows, and gutters, rats of every size, all after the piper.”

The episode started with this quote and I knew I was in for a long night. I never watched the movie Willard for a reason. I only finished this episode because I had to write the recap/review. Rats, folks, rats. Need I say more?

When you’re a spy, you should always anticipate casualties. Michael’s battle against Anson, and the organization that burned him, has certainly been touched by fatality. Death isn’t a stranger to Team Westen, and this penultimate episode proves no exception.

An old enemy returns and Ian, and old friend of Jesse’s, ropes Team Westen into taking down a diamond smuggling diplomat. The method used to catch the crook, however, raises a few questions.

I haven’t been a fan of Nicole Scherzinger as a judge since she debuted. She never says anything of value and makes everything all about her.

But after tonight’s elimination show, she is now officially my vote for the worst reality show judge EVER. She’s not only weak minded, but weak willed as well. If she eliminated a singer because she believed they weren’t as good as the others, that’s one thing. But to not be able to make up her mind and leave it to the audience — why are they even paying her a salary????

Person of Interest – Recap & Review – Get Carter

Get Carter

Original Air Date: Dec 8, 2011

CBS billed tonight’s episode of POI as a “game changer.” But I don’t know if it really changed the game as much as the reveal of Elias, a mutual enemy of Reese/Finch and Detective Carter. Tonight’s episode was more the natural progression from that moment.

What tonight’s episode DID do, however, was provide some back story on Detective Carter. It’s always seemed to me an odd choice for the writers to go so many episodes without revealing anything about Detective Carter, especially when she’s played by such a recognizable actress as Taraji P. Henson. We also get the long-anticipated face-to-face meeting between Carter and Reese. Sort of. Let’s recap how it all went down!

America’s Next Top Model
All-Stars Finale

Original Air Date: November 7, 2011

Anne – Associate Editor

Who will it be? Allison? Lisa? Angelea? We’ve finally reached the Top Model All-Stars finale. It’s an action packed hour that ends with a panel that you have to see to believe. I’m still rooting for Allison, but will be happy if Lisa wins as well. I just don’t want Angelea to win. At all. Not even a little bit. Does anyone want her to win? They all celebrate being the final three and each tell us why they deserve to win the most.

Lisa has a charity for abused children? Did you know this? That is really awesome! She’s a lot more deserving than I thought she was. This should be an interesting showdown.

Self-Fulfilling Prophecy

Somerville Military Academy – the Director’s alma mater – is shocked to its core by a mass suicide amongst their students. Two weeks before this incident a boy named Bailey killed himself by hanging himself with his sheets. Now five of the six boys who were sent into the woods for a week-long survival trip have hung themselves as well. The sixth boy, Josh is missing.

The fact that all of the boys hung themselves with their bed linen’s, screams suicide-pact. One of the problems that the BAU has to face is the fact that their crime scene has been tampered with, because the person who found the boys claimed that he thought that they might still be alive which is why he cut them down from the trees.

American Horror Story – Recap & Review – Smoldering Children

Smoldering Children

The tales of 1994 aren’t finished yet – it was an eventful year involving so many of the house’s inhabitants. We see that Larry has moved his new family – Constance, Tate and Adelaide – into the house with lightening speed after the deaths of his own family and clearly Tate is not happy with the situation. He seems so “innocent” when he asks to say grace, but his version is a scathing analysis of the current situation. If only Larry had listened then when Tate tried to point out that Constance didn’t love him and only wanted access to the house. Things might be different. The point here is that Tate knows the score. He knows Larry killed his brother Beau. He knows his mother for who she is. And he swears that he will never be her “perfect son”.

This fateful dinner was the prequel to Tate’s rampage – but it didn’t start at the school.

This is a bridge episode. It’s supposed to get us from eliminating Cochran (and thus finishing off Savaii) to having Coach’s alliance turn on each other. But, before we get to that, we have to attend to this one thing first: Edna.

Oh, that’s right. We also have to play out the Redemption Island duel between Ozzy and Cochran. That turns out to be the most exciting thing this episode or in several episodes, actually.
