Dear TV Claus … From Jules

Hi gang! Happy Holidays to you all! For the month of December, the crew here at TheTwoCents.com will be writing our letters to TV Claus. A powerful being who transcends all beliefs to bring us the wonderment of good television. You’ll see a new letter to TV Claus almost daily here and we hope you’ll chime in your TwoCents to TV Claus too!

Dear TV Claus,

It’s been a crazy, stressful year, yet TV has always been there for me. I’d be so ever grateful if you’d be able to grant any of my few wishes.

1. It’s been seven seasons of wondering who the mother is on HIMYM and I’d really like to know. Like right now. Or get more clues. Ted isn’t getting any younger, nor am I.

2. I’m still getting over the loss of Lie to Me, but thankful you’ve been able to find a role for Torres on The Good Wife, but what about Tim Roth? He was great on TV.

3. Speaking of Good Wife, can you get rid of that weird tutor Grace has? She adds no substance to the show except me wanting to question her motives of being a tutor.

Leverage – Recap & Review – The Boys’ Night Out Job

Leverage
The Boys’ Night Out Job

Original Air Date: Dec 18, 2011

Patricia Morris Buckley — Sr. Staff Writer
pmb@thetwocentscorp.com

In the last episode, we saw what happened on the girls’ night out, with glimpses of what the boys were doing. This time, we see the flip side of the story – what the boys did while Parker and Sophie (with a returning Tara) rescued Parker’s new pal, Peggy.

The guys, I think, had a much harder night. Lots of gun fire, fistfights and misunderstandings. But perhaps that’s a good night for them.

Survivor: South Pacific – Recap & Review – Reunion

Reunion

Original Air Date: Dec 18, 2011

The Survivor Reunion! Is there a more frustrating hour of TV? Jeff just asking the questions he wants to ask of the players he wants to talk to, barely acknowledging the winner if he doesn’t respect who won.

We get all of that AND MORE! Russell Hantz! In a stupid hat! Instead of asking people what they thought about Coach lying about finding the immunity idol, we’ll talk to Cochran about whether he’s dating!

Survivor: South Pacific – Recap & Review – Loyalties Will Be Broken

Loyalties Will Be Broken

Original Air Date: Dec 18, 2011

Ryan O – Senior Reviewer
ryano@thetwocentscorp.com

Finally, we’ve reached the end of this snoozefest of a season. It’s been both annoying and boring, which is the highest of sins in my book. I don’t think I’m being unfair when I call this one of the lesser seasons.

But, boring and annoying or not, we still have a winner to crown! Will Ozzy win enough challenges to make it to the final tribal council? Will Coach be able to convince people that he played with honor and loyalty? Or will one of those other players who we didn’t know at the start of the season win? Grab a beverage and a snack, this is a long one.

Dear TV Claus … From TTC Reader Heather!

Hi gang! Happy Holidays to you all! For the month of December, the crew here at TheTwoCents.com will be writing our letters to TV Claus. A powerful being who transcends all beliefs to bring us the wonderment of good television.

In this case we had one of our readers want to share her list. Thanks for sharing Heather!

I wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I am enjoying the Dear TV Claus features. Great stuff!

Also, I have my own wish list for TV Claus.

Dear TV Claus,
I know I don’t have the right to ask for much this year…after all you DID bring AJ Cook and Paget Brewster both back to Criminal Minds, a feat with I appreciate more and more with each episode! You also breathed new life into American Idol with the new judges (and crowned a country idol). Plus, you made someone other than Jimmie Johnson win the NASCAR championship. All in all, nice work this year!! Thanks again TV Claus!

However, that being said, I would appreciate a few small things this year…

1) Please let Raj on The Big Bang Theory start talking to women without being trashed. While funny, it’s going to look rather odd when he has to give his best man speech at Howard’s wedding into Howard’s ear.

2) While on the subject of BBT, could you please get Penny & Leonard back together. The show was more fun then! (Also, if we could have Sheldon and Amy have a sexual encounter, that would be great too!)

And Now A Very Special Message…

My list didn’t even go to TV Claus, but one of my wishes came true!

Dear TV Claus … From Patricia

Dear TV Claus,

I usually have a long list for you, but this year, I have only one single item on my wish list: Save Fringe. This may be one of the best sci-fi series of all time and it’s only the network’s belief in the wonderfully acted and written series that seems to keep it on the air.

The lower viewership problem is compounded by the fact that this season is so deep in the story’s mythology that it’s difficult for new viewers to catch up. Which means you need to have been a loyal viewer almost from the beginning or someone who caught up with the DVDs.

Dear TV Claus –

I have but a few requests….

1. Can Raj catch up with his friends on Big Bang Theory? They all seem to be evolving without him. It’s not fair to anyone.

2. Can you help The Mentalist finally wrap up Red John this season? Let’s not drag it out forever and put Jane’s mind to work on a new killer to span over multiple episodes.

Dexter
This Is The Way The World Ends

Original Air Date: Dec 18, 2011

Tonight we find out what will happen to Travis Marshall. Will he finally be the evil doer to get the upper hand on Dexter? And most importantly, will viewers still care? This season has been widely derided by the online community, so let’s see if the season finale will fix enough to redeem viewer opinions.

And guess what… It did! Now, the first 99% of the show was pretty status quo. I’m going to recap it for you and then get to the ending, but I’m going on record by saying that the ending was enough of a OMG! moment that I’m in for next season. 100%. So let’s discuss what came first…
