Balancing high school and high fashion must have somehow catapulted Jane into an alternate universe where there are many more than 24 hours in a day.

How else can she manage to prepare for a Donovan Decker runway show, score a hot date to the big dance, AND pull off a pretty fabulous, Pretty in Pink-style dress transformation?

Biggest Loser 13
Week Two

Original Air Date: Jan 10, 2012

This week on the show, one person learns that he needs more help than he originally thought. Dolvett gets under Bob’s skin and the elimination gets very emotional. Ali opens the show by announcing that the biggest loser on the winning team in the weigh-in can grant one person on the losing team immunity. Then she asks for two team leaders from each team to follow her.

Joe and Emily for the black team and Kim and Kimmy from the red team go with her into a room with a poker table. They each need to bid on what percentage of weight their team will lose this week. If the team that bids the highest wins, they get a 5 pound advantage. If not, the advantage goes to the other team. Kim and Kimmy bid 3.8%, which adds up to 94 pounds. Are these people crazy? Don’t they know it’s week two? Black agrees with me and folds.

Parenthood – Recap & Review – Just Smile

Parenthood
Just Smile

After last week’s exemplary outing, this week we’re back to a little more status quo with our favorite extended family. It’s not that this is lesser episode, it was just more … standard.

We’ve got babies and work place drama dominating the family this week. And for a show with such a wide range of characters, a number of notable absences as well. This week brought us no Jabbar, Jasmine, Drew, Camille, or Zeek, and only fleeting glances of Kristina, Max, and Sydney. Oddly enough, it made the hour feel somewhat shorter by not being stuffed to the family gills.

Based on comments from last week’s episode, I don’t think many of you are finding a great deal of sympathy for Daphne these days. And after this episode, and her pouting and outbursts, I’m guessing your positions won’t be changing. But, in a way, I think viewers should actually have a little more empathy for her.

Neither girl asked to have their lives turned upside down. But now that it is out of their control, both are trying to adapt and incorporate whatever they can of their new world into their own world. But for Daphne, who left a great deal of her old world behind, the only consistency she really has is basketball. Now, hear me out…

History’s Hit Competition Series, Top Shot, Returns for a Season 4

photo: history

If a $100,000 prize package and bragging rights as “Top Shot” aren’t enough to tickle a marksman’s trigger finger, consider this: one sharp shooter will also walk away from the new season of TOP SHOT with a professional contract with Bass Pro Shops. The hit competition series will be fully loaded with more twists and history-inspired challenges than ever before when it returns for a 4th season on Tuesday, February 14 at 10pm ET on HISTORY.

The 18 competitors vying for the Top Shot title represent the broadest range of shooting backgrounds ever featured on the series. From a 21-year-old world champion pistol shooter to a hard working high school custodian who makes his own ammunition and spends his spare time at the range – these marksmen and markswomen are out to prove they’re the best. Some of the finest self-taught shooters in the country are coming out to prove themselves this season – there’s an IT specialist from California , a knife maker from Georgia, a chemist from Massachusetts , and a grass-fed cattle farmer from upstate New York . Ranging in age from 21 to 50, contestants were carefully chosen from among thousands of applicants to compete in TOP SHOT.
