“I am impelled not to squeak like a grateful and frightened mouse, but to roar…”

What happens when mice no longer feels the need to run away from people? In New York City, it would mean the end of subways and walking on the streets in flip-flops. In Grimm Portland, it would mean dead bodies. Also in Portland – stalking has become a sport. (No, I’m not talking about sightings of me near Monroe’s house.)

The opening scene this week is a private conversation between Lisbon and Van Pelt. It seems that the FBI has been trying to reach Van Pelt and she’s been avoiding them. They went to Lisbon instead and gave her the necklace Van Pelt was wearing when she shot O’Laughlin at the end of last season. The case is closed and she can have it back now if she wants it. It’s clear she doesn’t know what to do with it. She still hasn’t made peace with everything that happened.

They’re interrupted by Cho, with the announcement of this week’s case. There’s a dead body at an estate in the National Forest. Cho, Van Pelt and Jane are off to check it out.

The Recombination Hypothesis

We open this week with Leonard making a futile attempt to convince Sheldon to pick something new for dinner tonight. Sheldon only wants to imagine how humans would be different if they evolved from lizards instead of mammals. Then, as Sheldon gushes over the arrival of his life-size cardboard Spock, Leonard is eying Penny across the hall, showing the feelings he clearly still has for her.

Penny seems grateful for the interruption of Amy’s explanation of how smarter monkeys throw more poop and Sheldon’s disappointed with the wrong Spock, but the real surprise was Leonard’s request that Penny go out for dinner with him.

On a date.

photo: usa

USA Network continued its Social TV winning streak by unveiling two new engaging WHITE COLLAR themed digital initiatives this week, Mozzie’s Mission and the Miso SideShow, for the series. Both were designed to extend the overall WHITE COLLAR experience and add a new layer of involvement and increased community interaction. Mozzie’s Mission is a six-week, first-person online game testing fans to see if they are good enough to find a hidden stash. While the Miso SideShow enables viewers to download a companion viewing app and gain access to exclusive content while watching the show. These digital offerings will run throughout the entire winter season.

“As we expand our SocialTV initiatives, we are focusing on extending the strong connection that is created from our programs’ linear viewing experience to the digital realm,” said Jesse Redniss, senior vice president, digital, USA Network. “Each immersive experience, game, and app that we create, has been crafted “hand in hand” with the vision and participation from the producers and show creators, providing seamless and engaging content for fans that stays true to the mythology, look and feel of our shows.”

Grey’s Anatomy – Recap & Review – Hope for the Hopeless

Grey’s Anatomy
Hope for the Hopeless

Original Air Date: Jan 19, 2012

Will – Associate Staff Writer
will@thetwocentscorp.com

My name is Will and I will be taking over Greys permanently! I am a die-hard watcher of this show ever since it started. This amazing episode starts off with Alex and another one of his lady friends invading Kepner’s space and she is sick and tired of it! She decides that her and Avery are going to move out.

It is Zola’s birthday and it is also Weber’s 10000th surgery in this episode. Meredith is running around preparing for the birthday party and Weber makes sure a proper celebration is in place for his surgery. We also find out that Meredith has not declared a specialty. At first we all think General Surgery because that is what her mother specialized in and she was famous for that. Meredith is apprehensive and she ends up not declaring one by the end of the episode. Yes, Jake is back! Who knows for how long, but at least he was just in time to not only save Cassie from a really bad hook-up with Adam, but also to warn her that the Witch Hunters are not done coming after the Chance Harbor Circle, and especially Cassie…and we can assume whoever the second Blackwell child is although their dark magic hasn’t surfaced yet, and the Circle doesn’t know there should be another dark magic progeny in the midst.

Everything is about to change for the Circle, as their unity reaches an all time low and secrets about the night their parents died begin to surface.

Caitlin – Staff Writer

As you just might be able to pick up from the title, this week’s episode of Up All Night focuses on rivalries. Between Reagan and another mom getting Chris’s attention and between Ava and Megan Mullally.

Okay, so here Megan Mullally is actually Shayna, a former guest of the Ava show who lost a ton of weight and now has her own program. Problem is, she’s stealing ideas from the very place she got her start.

The Ties That Bind

The Ties that Bind.  Wherein Bonnie gets a backstory and a road trip, Tyler gets fixed (punny, punny), Klaus maintains the same level of scary as always, relationships in The Triangle shift, and MAX AMAZINGNESS LEVELS ARE REACHED, albeit briefly.  😛

(Sorry about the slight delay, guys.  Had some technical trouble.  But without further ado!)

Bonnie dreamscapes never get old.  First she’s in the forest, as per usual, looking at the mystery coffin, then she’s in the coffin courtesy of Klaus, and then she’s staring at who is surely the key to unlocking the magically sealed coffin.  Witchy dreams are not hard to interpret. 30 Rock – Recap & Review – Idiots Are People Two!

30 Rock
Idiots Are People Two!

Original Air Date: Jan 19, 2012

Valentina D. – Senior Reviewer
valentina@thetwocentscorp.com

30 Rock has never been afraid to reference itself and I’m sure many viewers remember how Tracy Morgan made headlines for the tasteless and hateful rant he delivered at a standup gig over the hiatus. There was no doubt that Tina Fey would craft a storyline around this incident and handle it like only 30 Rock knows how.

Before the secret identity of Liz’s mystery man is revealed, the episode kicks off with guest star Kelsey Grammer bursting into Liz’s office, telling her something is wrong with Pete, who is just regaining consciousness with a plastic bag over his head. We’re greeted with an “8 Hours Earlier” title card.

What exactly that happened at TGS 8 hours earlier? Find out after the jump!
