This season of Elementary came to a close with a two-hour season finale that capped off an increasingly well-made season, and was there ever a twist! In last week’s episode Holmes was reunited with the presumed-dead Irene Adler in the episode’s final moments, and this week we got to see flashbacks of their past together while learning the real truth of why Irene has reappeared in Holmes’s life—and it’s a big reveal that I did not think the show would necessarily go for, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Hit the jump for more.

It’s one year after the documentary release, and the camera crew is back getting extra footage for the DVD. There is also going to be a question and answer panel so everyone is getting back together for that. Let’s find out what everyone has been up to in the past year.

Dwight has turned Dunder Mifflin Scranton around and it’s apparently profitable again. Oscar is running for senate. Kevin was fired, Stanley retired. Toby was also fired. All were informed by Dwight via cake. Dwight and Angela are getting married and Jim is Dwight’s best man. Jim is having lots of fun doing nice pranks. We’ll get to those in a bit.

Raj starts us off in the season finale with his latest awkward date with Lucy and why the guys have yet to meet her when Howard shows up at the lunch table with some good news for Leonard. Stephen Hawking is leading an expedition to the North Sea and is short an experimental physicist. Howard has recommended Leonard for the position. Clearly this does not sit well with Sheldon as he immediately tries to discourage Leonard from going.

While it’s true that the unnamed characters in red shirts do not usually fare well on Star Trek – it was Sheldon that gave Leonard that designation. I think he’d do just fine.

Former Guest Stars Say Farewell to The Office (Part 3)

two-cents-office-goodbye-banner-ii.png

Over the years, The Office has been a bread and butter show for us here at TheTwoCents.com. We’ve interviewed all the stars of the show, as well as many of the guest actors in some of our favorite episodes.

Many of those actors have sent in their own messages to us here at TheTwoCents, saying farewell to The Office.

The Office finale aired last night on NBC.

blakeBlake Robbins
“Tom Halpert”
Multiple Seasons
Employee Transfer, Niagara, The Banker

From Blake:
“Its still a “pinch me I’m dreaming” kind of thing that I ever got to be on The Office, that and the fact that I was even asked to write this is surreal. I’m proud to be remotely associated with such talented and more importantly quality people, not just speaking of cast, but everyone that worked on the show. I feel more like the fan who might be reading this – I’m a huge fan who through some strange twist of fate ended up with a front row seat.”

MyTwoCents – KP Says Farewell to The Office

my-two-cents111Hello readers. It’s been a while since I have written to you all here on TheTwoCents, and it’s been long overdue. I write to you in the midst of an emotional roller coaster. You see, I haven’t just been trying to prepare myself for the finale of The Office, but I am getting married next weekend.

So, while Angela and Dwight were planning their wedding, I was doing the same. But the wedding is a story for another time, for now, let’s talk about the emotion of last night shall we?

Well, even if “we” don’t, I’m going to anyway. It’s how I roll.

The Finale Office Conference Room – Office Fan Blogs Say Goodbye

two-cents-office-goodbye-banner-ii.png

Office Conference Room - LogoThe episode has come and gone. The Office finale has taken the folks of Dunder Mifflin from us.

In the past, we have held The Office Conference Room where the people who run some of the favorite fan sites from around the web have shared their TwoCents on certain episodes.

Today, we gather for one last time and share what we all thought about the finale and what the show has meant to us.

Everyone in the conference room – NOW!

Thoughts on Finale: To be completely honest, I’m still processing. Any thoughts I have on the finale right now are going to be dripping with emotion, but maybe that’s not so bad (ask me in a week). I think Michael (Michael!?!) summed it up best when he talked about it being like his kids growing up and marrying each other… minus the incest, I feel the same way. I feel like these were friends of mine who really deserved a happy ending and finally got it. And they lived happily ever after…

Thoughts on the 9 years of The Office: The Office really changed the face of television, with the way it was shot to the writing to the marketing to the fans. And not only did it bring great TV into my home every Thursday night, it also brought me some wonderful friendships and opportunities. The Office really started TheTwoCents, and I will be forever grateful for that. Plus, every time something weird happens in my life, I look into the camera. I know it’s not there, but still. That’s what she said.

It’s been a long season full of ups (a female Top 5) and downs (Lazaro staying and staying…). But we’re finally down to the last moment. I couldn’t be happier with the Final 2. I had hoped for this showdown for several weeks now.

And the winner is …..

Grey’s Anatomy
Perfect Storm

Original Air Date: May 16, 2013

Karen Belgrad – Senior Editor
karenbelgrad@thetwocentscorp.com

Remember the first few seasons of Grey’s Anatomy? When season finales were all about emotional cliffhangers, like Addison’s arrival, Finn versus Derek, and Cristina’s non-wedding? Well since then, we’ve had George versus the bus, gunmen, and plane crashes. And tonight we have weather and no less than three doctors in peril. And I’m exhausted!

We ended the penultimate episode with Meredith in labor, Arizona in an on-call room, a tree in the living room, and a colossal storm hitting Seattle. And with the exception of the tree, we begin pretty much where we left off… so let’s cover all our bases.
