Thanks to Anne for covering for me last week! I couldn’t believe what I saw when I finally got to see the episode! Lydia running a suspect into a pool? Tang and Cooper being attacked? Sherman punching a high school girl?? It was all so crazy. But that’s what SouthLAnd is all about.

This week the theme is “Community.” What makes a community? Why do community members go against each other? It all comes through in tonight’s episode.

“The city of Los Angeles is made up of over a hundred separate and distinct ethnic, racial and religious communities. L.A. cops have to navigate all of ’em…if they want to survive.”

Seven weeks have passed since I have paid any attention to Glee. See I suffered a crisis of faith, but I decided to give the show yet another chance to prove itself. Don’t take the show so seriously I was told, just enjoy it for what it is. But alas I cannot. There has just been too much emotional investment from the inception for me to just let it go.

So the few semi-serious moments that were scattered throughout this tribute episode made me go WTMJ (What The Michael Jackson)?

This past week had a lot of story behind it. The show jumped around through all of our favorite characters and set us up further for what we can expect for the rest of the season.

This week there are a lot of things that have been left unsaid from the first 2 episodes that still need to be explained further and I cannot wait to see how they go about that. Lets see what happens!

Tonight’s episode featured the end of the Maisy saga and the arson drama, and both ended in surprising, and terrible, ways. We also saw Liam re-launch his bar and bring along pop-rock band The All-American Rejects as guests.

There was also a surprising exit for not one, but two, characters. Who are they? Read my character breakdown to find out!

Do you get paranoid? Or do people make some excuse for you because of something that’s happened. Our favorite Mrs. Suit gets put in that situation this week and she doesn’t want to fall in the paranoia trap.

Instead we see Mrs. Suit tackle a case all on her own, well not really, but she does get some help from our favorite Mrs. Suit lover – Mozzie and Neal, of course. And in return we are treated to a case of who you don’t want your neighbors to be.

Last week I wondered about the title painting and its symbolism. This week the connection was much clearer. I am by no means an art buff, but my take is that the art is all illusions of perfection being broken apart. And this week, we had no shortage of shattered dreams.

All of our major players were on deck this week with important scenes. From our title girls to the rarely seen Adrianna, everyone had their moment this week. And so much happened that it’s going to be hard to capture the wonder of it all, so let’s get to it!

At first it’s just a look. You wonder if they know each other, how exactly they know each other. Is she recognizing him? And then there’s a smile. You are officially sure that she is indeed aware of who he is and has been expecting him. But then there’s a syringe to her neck and you just know that the person she thought he was, the lonely guy shopping for frozen meals for he too can no longer deal with the idea of cooking for one, isn’t his true identity.

Meet Cal Sweeney. He is known to have a special preference for stealing the contents of safety deposit boxes and then selling them. Why, once inside the bank, not steal the vault? Because that, even back in the 50’s, was considered a federal offense. According to Soto, if everything went smoothly, Sweeney wouldn’t hurt a fly.

There’s a body. Ready?

A homeless girl shows up in the clinic with breathing problems accompanied by a man she tries to pass off as her dad. House calls her on it and then she starts bleeding out her ear. Well, that just bought her a one way ticket to Diagnostics.

“Jane Doe” is homeless, a minor, and a runaway. Her mom used to abuse (allegedly) her so she hightailed it out of there.
